  We chose to go in early March for our wedding anniverssary. The hotel is located within walking distance (for us 70-year olds) of Peterand Paul fortress and the Hermitage crossing two different pairs of bridges across the Neva in each case. The hotel room was clean and well prepared. Breakfast made a big impression. The breakfast room is a little bit small, but food quality and selection meets the highest expectations.   The hotel is perfectly located just behind the Ermitage Museum and a short walk from the main shopping street with many restaurants to choose from. I had a solo room for 4 nights and enjoyed a million dollar view of the onion domes of the Church on Spilled Blood. At 2 A.M. I could peek out the room-darkening curtains and find the domes softly lit against the pale twilight.
