Set in a 19th century building, which once belonged to the Romanian aristocratic family of the Catargius, Residence Villa Barrio features an interior in Art Deco style and free Wi-Fi in the entire property. All stylishly decorated rooms are air-conditioned, and come with a flat-screen satellite TV, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box. Vila Barrio is an exceptional boutique hotel, I was amazed by the professionalism, the personalized approach and the warmth of all the staff but special Raisa Tatuli The hotel itself is amazing, everything in it invites you to relax, enjoy, rest, while your privacy, your well being and your satisfaction are the constant priority of all the staff . kaikki arvostelut » It's in a beautiful old building in the centre of the city. The rooms are great and very comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. There's a good restaurant and bar downstairs, which is busy with a young crowd most evenings. There are also several good restaurants, and a 24-hour supermarket, within a 5-minute walk. I strongly recommend it. Everything was wonderful; the atmosphere, the cosy room we stayed in, the sweet and helpful staff, the delicious food served in the restaurant etc. Furthermore the location in the heart of Bucharest made it easy to get around. We will for sure return some day. Thanks a lot to the staff in Villa Barrio!. A lovely old building, updated and interestingly converted. Staff very helpful and attentive too. The room which was on two levels offered excellent accommodation and we will be staying again. Food and beverages were reasonably priced and the location just off of Piazza Romana is really ideal. Price! The price for 1 night we payed for double room (35€) is fantastic for such a good hotel in such a great location. Staff is friendly, rooms are nicely decorated, the hotel itself is situated at the old mansion. In general it was a great stay, will stay here again for sure!. The room was absolutely stunning and very imaginatively laid-out. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and let us know about the most significant tourist attractions in the city. The bar and restaurant also looked very nice although we didn't avail of these facilities. The room was very stylish, comfortable and well maintained. Location is great. Next to Piata Romana with lots of buses and two metro stops from the old town. Also very walkable. The hotel looks really pretty. Both from the outside as from the inside. PS: don't miss their "all you can eat" buffet for lunch from 12.00 till 16.00 on weekdays, it's really really great!. Amazing value, spacious, clean rooms and tasty breakfasts. No reception during the night. During our stay there were some issues with water pressure, though I do understand that this was a municipal thing and not a hotel issue?. Smell of smoke in the room. No private parking. I walloped my head against various beams at least twice (possibly more; the second bang may have induced temporary amnesia) but this was my own fault for not being sufficiently awake!. The leaking shower but a small maintenance issue and easily fixed :-). We had a room at the front. Opposite the hotel is a club. One night they were playing loud music which we could hear well in our room. Breakfasts not served until 9am. No shower screens. No lift only the staires somehow unconfortable if you have big lugagges.Breakfast after 9(same the reception) common for a holiday hotel not for a city hotel where people travel for bussines. The steep staircase. Villa Barrio has a good ambiental music, but loud music comes from a bar nearby. The windows in the room could not blocked the noise from the outside, they need to change it or repair it. No shower curtain, bathroom gets wet when taking a shower. This seems to be very common in Romania. The breakfast is really good but somewhat pricey... and it's a full meal! Perhaps a lighter/cheaper option could also be added to the menu?. However the restaurant staff could use some training. They were unavailable, and it was hard to get their attention when they were. The hotel hasn't reception and on the ground floor is a restaurant and a bar. Vis a vis is the Tonka Club and it is possible to be noisy in the night. Everything was perfect. No real negatives. Rooms probably not suitable for older people with walking problems as there are a lot of stairs. The bed was terribly, it sagged in the middle and really needs to be replaced. The height of the ceiling was so low in some places of the room that I would hit my head. parking on the streets around Barrio (not secured and available always) there is no separate entrance for the rooms and you enter thru the cafe and restaurant with all your luggage. There was nothing i didnt like but some people might find the hotewl a little busy or noisy - it is primarily a restaurant and bar which caters events - i liked it because it was lively and you felt part of something bigger whereas others who prefer quiet and seclusion might not enjoy it. Nothing. In the rooms you can feel the smell from the cooking in the restaurant. The club next door was loud all night during the weekend. The breakfast it' s not included in the room rate. A little bit of noise could be heard from the restaurant, bathroom fittings were not in perfect condition. My room was really Noisy ! I could hear everything on the hallway. The decoration of the room and outside, was a bit sleezy. There is no something that I did not like. Water on the bathroom floor was not draining well. Breakfast was not included to the price. Breakfast not included and far too expensive for eastern Europe e5,5!!!. - crowded streets nearby; difficulties in finding a close parking lot. the wifi was very weak. Restaurant was a little pricey, but the food was top notch.
