Excellent base for travelling around West Bank. We went to Ramallah, Jericho, Taybeh (microbrewery) - all within an hour in shared taxi. For backpackers especially, Bethlehem is a much cheaper place to stay, eat and buy souvenirs than Jerusalem and it has a different, more welcoming (I think) atmosphere. Good location: 10 min walk to bus stop (number 21 for Jerusalem), 10 min walk to Manger Square for the sights, 15 min walk to shared taxi stand for other destinations in West Bank. Breakfast no.
kaikki arvostelut » it's a very comfortable hostel! just five minutes walk from the Square. the staff are very warm and friendly!! i felt like staying at my own house with my own family! the hostel is very clean and tidy! and you can have a good view of bethlehem from the balcony! i felt relaxed staying at this hostel! very queit and comfortable!!also the breakfast they provided was really delicious!! and great great thanks for the Holy Bible they gave me as a gift!!! i will definitely choose House of Peace next. This is the best value you'll find around the Jerusalem area. The place is a little hard to find, but a taxi can take you right to it. Once you get to the hostel, the owners can tell you how to walk to the bus station, to save some money. The rooms were simple, clean, and the owners were very kind. Very friendly hosts. They organised dinner, breakfast, and transport as it was a Jewish Holiday. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good running water. Excellent views of the Cana Wedding Church as it is 10 metres from where we had dinner on the patio landing. We had a lovely stay at the House of Peace. The hostel isn't very fancy, but certainly good value for money. The hosts were very nice and hospitable. We'll most likely come back sometime in the future. Was a pleasure staying here..... Extremely welcoming.. Wonderful palestinian hospitality.... Clean and warm family environment........ Will not hesitate to stay here next time in town!!. Family run, super nice, awesome location to walk to Church of Nativity and Manger Square. The owners are amazingly welcoming, friendly and very helpfully. Nice Ppl. We felt it like our home. The location was a 10 min walk from manger square. There were lots of the family's personal belongings in the room. It made is feel as if we were intruding. The breakfast was very expensive for the quality of food that was received. We were asked to pay during the evening before our last nights stay. I was then patronised as to why I did not have the money to pay before check out. This was not received well.
