THe staff was most accomodating, food was delciouse, room comfortable, bath was too small, and water all over the floor due to poor design of the shower.   Location - amazing. Dinners were excellent despite being a set menu. Reception and waiting staff very friendly and helpful. The free bike and rowing boat hire were a real bonus.

  First off, Flåm cannot be missed if you're in Norway or Scandinavia. Must check it out. The staff at Fretheim were very helpful and friendly. I was running to catch my train so I didn't have time to thank the server at breakfast but if he sees this thank you very much! The receptionist was even more helpful, told me where to go, what to - The town of Flam is in a beautiful setting at the end of the Fjord- we went hiking and it was breathtaking- so beautiful- I would recommend renting bikes and riding back to Aurland- along the Fjord, a beautiful setting- the bkie ride from Flam to Mrydal is only for people who have experience- it is a winding path, steep mountians and lots of uphill- only do this if you are in shape and know how to ride a mountain bike- you could also walk this trail or part of it

  The position, just on the small port of Kalvag with a beautiful view on the sea. The rooms were both spacious, bright and clean. Breakfast, served in the restaraunt (wich is quite elegant inside), was good and abundant. We had even diner at the restaurant: not cheap but the food was good; tasty even the beer locally brewed.
