  I had a great time at Riad d'Or. It was exactly the type of accommodation I was looking for: one representing the legendary Moroccan hospitality. This means for me good food, laid-back atmosphere, water presence, beautiful Arab decoration, smiling ladies and attentive gentlemen. They would go up from the reception till the roof - Tthe “Superior Quadruple Room” (the Pacha room if you are looking at the riad’s website) easily accommodated two married couples (one double bed and two twin beds that the staff had pushed together) in somewhat separated/private areas. The room also had a comfortable couch on which a short person or child could sleep. The common areas of this riad are among the most intricately, ornately, and opulently decorated (in a good way) of any in which I have stayed. Lots of hot water. Staff was friendl

  Beautiful hotel. Helpful staff. Excellent location very near Medina, but not in the midst of the ruckus. - It's a new riad and very pretty and unique inside. It's worth to stay there for the experience. It's right next to the medina (old town). All staff were very friendly.

Note that the housekeeper has very limited English, but my high school French was sufficient to communicate easily with her. - It's located in the Medina, but not on the busy part of it. After a 7 hour drive from - We enjoyed every last detail of our trip. Our guides were incredibly helpful, very kind and patient with our children. We arrived in the midst of a late night sand/rainstorm and yet Mohammed still came out to guide us back to our room. We were invited into their homes, fed like kings, catered too and truly felt not only at ease but also safe. We had been a bit worried traveling to Morocco with only woman and children, but the staff was very kind and we never felt a bit of unease while visiting
