My husband and I have just returned from 6 days in Penang. We chose Traders as it was close to the bus terminal and shops which was very convenient. We never used taxis as the bus system there is exceelent so it's easy to get around the main sites by bus at very cheap prices. It's a beautifully restored set of old houses, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, there are special touches like the 4pm cup of tea and kuih (local cake) by the poolside. We booked the family suite - which turned out to be the 2bedroom suite on the top floor, occupying half of the entire floor.
Service - top notch. Supervisor was inspecting the room right before we moved in (although we were waiting for 2 hours before we were allowed to enter) and it was well worth the wait!
