4/5 Star hotel; very comfordable, big modern rooms & bathrooms. Very clean. Service OK, although even at the reception, minimal English language skils (amazing regarding the luxury level of the hotel). Nice views to the sea & mountains.
The location was good. It was close to some of the fresh fish markets and with a bus stop at the bottom of the hill the rest of the city was very accessible.kaikki arvostelut »
Lobby is beautiful. Good receptionists those speak English. Good view.
View was ok.
Price of the room itself was good, but separate meals were expensive. Particularly the (American) breakfast, which was OK itself, but not the price worth. Hotel located near the sea, but some km. to Sokcho. In the direct vicinity only very limited number of shops & restaurants. You always need a car or bus.
The temperature control in the room was inadequate. During the day we went to the room after hiking and the temp was about 28 deg Celsius with no air conditioning to speak of. At night the temp fluctuated and it was hard to sleep.
Swimming pool was not working. Sauna was not working. It's next to sea, but far from the beaches (Sokcho, Naksan, etc). Expensive for na old and abandoned hotel. You can have other hotel in Sokcho for less.
