The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, located basically in the center of the city, culture was amazing, you got to see it first hand, located near train station, and subway station, taxi's easily accessed. Train noise was minimal, everything basically within walking distance if you would rather walk. This hotel is perfect for the tourist wanting to be submerged into the culture of Daegu.

The staff whom we believe is the owner is a verry nice lady, eventhough she does not speak English, but she can understand what we are trying to say.
Eventhough the hotel does not provide breakfast but in the morning when we were abt to check out, we were informed that there is light breakfast with toast, hard boil egg and coffee on self service without charges.
The hotel is just few mins walk from the train terminal.
Even though the staff couldn't speak in English, they were really kind. They let us store our luggage for free after checking out. The location is good (close to the metro), but as most of the railway stations at night, it was also a bit dodgy, a lot of homeless people around. They offered 'breakfast', which was a cold toast and boiled eggs, but nice gesture anyway.
The owners are very friendly and personable. Also the location is excellent if you want to be in walking to distance to the subway and train station (both under a couple minutes away). Also the shopping--the mall is next door and two of Daegu's famous shopping districts are across the street. Very comfortable to stay in for a night or two.
Staff spoke little English but were very helpful. Had a good room with a functioning PC. The hotel provided an OK breakfast of hardboiled eggs and bread/toast. Very convenient location, next to Daegu station.

the owner of this hotel is a couple that cannot speak english but their children can, unfortunately their not available all the time. They wash our clothes for free and also free mineral water, the wifi is quite good,.
The location is excellent. It has a very big plasmaTV too, though it
will take some time to understand how it works as there are many remote
controllers. Wifi access is excellent.
Convenient location as it is 3 minutes walk next to the City's inter-city, express and local bus stations as well as the staging station for the Gyeongju City Bus Tours.

The signage of the hotel is only half of it where it only stated as New Grand Hotel and not as Goodstay New Grand Hotel where we we looking round for at least 20 - 30 mins as we bypass it thinking it was another hotel.
I can't really complain, it is a good value for money. As every motel in Korea, it was also a bit dark, small window with a view on a wall, and you can hear the trains at night.
Communication (no English)
Noisy (opposite to railway station), main gate is not at easy of access (e.g taxi...).
The beds were a bit too hard!.
Computer wasn't connected to the Internet.
You heard every train passing by until midnight then it started up 5 am.

smoking on the online web page does not guarantee a selection.

The toilet is a little leaky. If you are bringing those bath-use or
facial sample products in packets that can last for more than a day,
remember to keep in well because the housekeeper threw everything away
thinking they were empty.
Old staff as receptionist was not helpful as unable to communicate well and hence unable to use the WIFI until the next day. No breakfast was provided unlike my other stays at Daegu and Busan.

The room was not clean at all, the bathroom is even worst. The bed is not clean nor is comfortable. NO CLOSET.
