I booked a single room with a big bed. Of course the room was small but
it was fine for one person. There's a small kitchen on the 5th floor
with gas cooker, a rice cooker and electric urn. The communal shower and
Japanese bath is stocked with all the necessary items; but it opens only
after 2pm. Breakfast is included and you get toast, spreads, jam, a

I like to stay in a traditionnal room. I like the quiet district.I like the large and convienient bathroom. The staff was hepfull even if they couldn't speak English.

The hostel is nice and small. 5-7 minutes from a train station. The room
was small (the individual room), but the bed was very comfortable. There
is a window, air conditioner, tv, and Japanese mats on the floor. The
showers are very good for a hostel with shampoo and gel. No towels
though. The breakfast consists of tea/coffee, two toasts with
butter, jam, or chocolate, and egg, and half a banana. Quiet like
everywhere in Japan. I experienced an almost 4 earth quake while being
in the hostel - i.

I have nothing bad to say about Hostel Zen. Only, the Wifi is a little
weak but still ok.
The stairs to claim. The noise between the room and in the corridor. The size of the room.
The distance from conference venue. The hostel is situated well very
near to china town excellent for the shopping experience
But my conference venue was little far for which i had t hire a taxi every day and had to pay 2000 yen per trip which was only 2.2 km from the hostel.
its a hostel so don't expected too much.
During typhoon, it was a bit wet in the whole hostel. The wifi internet
was fast, but not working in my room.
