  The ensuite room is good size and comfortable. Simple decoration. Half way between the train station and the old town. about 8 mins walk from the train station. Good for money. - Their staff always help me when i have a question or got problem. They are so friendly.   Don't worry about the location, The owner will drive you to Takayama Station. The location near the river is terrific. Grilled Hida beef at food stall (400yen per stick) by the river at the morning market is excellent. - The Spa was the standout! But Iguchi-san was wonderful and the acommodations terrific!

  My wife and I stayed with my elderly mother in the same room. K's House is a chain of hostels in Japan, and I recommend it highly. The only downside is that as a hostel, the rooms are small. But once you know that, the arrangements are great, and the rooms are clean. Right at the front, no shoes are allowed in the building. On the first floor there are a sitting room with free computers, a dining roo - I love everything about the place. Athough the room is really small and compact, everything that you need is available. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The staff were great and they were able to communicate well in English. I had a fabulous time there. K's House in Takayama holds a dinner party once a month and I was really lucky to be there on that one day in a month.   Super friendly young Japanese couple run the place. Their English is excellent. They gave me a map and circled all the key places to visit and things to eat. They let me store my pack there until check in. Absolutely would recommend this place. Location close tobus, train, and main sights. Easy to find location, wa - Great location, warm & friendly owner. Nice to mingle with other travellers too in living room which is full of information. The recommended eating places are awesome & I also liked the onsen/hot spring they have recommended. It's such great relaxing, rotenburo with nite view after a day walking. I will definitely stay here again if I come to Takayama.
