  Amazing place there! The dinner in the room is fabulous, and at 8:45 p.m. can see the HANA-BI(fireworks) both in the room and around the lake, there are also Natsu-matsuri in the summer nights.   We had a canal view room (the otaru canal is just across the road). I like the room very much, it's clean and spacious, toilet and bath room are separated.   There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which have bus going to the hakodate ropeway at a sceduled timing. The front desk staff - a lady was very helpful and flexible. My friend and I were early (by abt an hr) and she gave us a room even though check in is 3pm onwards. Just walk about 2 minutes from JR Station to get there and from there it takes just a minute to the Morning Market. The room is quite old but very neat and tidy. They have a big flat screen TV, green tea, hair dryer, Yukata and Obi set for changing clothes. The staff is very nice although we get here a bit late (8pm). Morerover, they can speak english quite well. I recommend it if you want some place which is good and has reasonable pr
