A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. This was a very good Ryokan in Nara for a quite reasonable price as far as Ryokan pricing goes (the dinner and breakfast were worth more than $120, potentially $200 just for those two in some locations). They also have a onsen which was quite enjoyable. Bed: comfy bed install on Tatami after dinner Dinner and Breakfast are included and made out of a delicious mix of Japanese dishes (served in your room for dinner). It really was a great meal, and offset the price of the room. Breakfast is a sha.
kaikki arvostelut » I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel New Wasaka. The staff has been really helpful since my arrival till even after I checked out. Especially, this hotel has several English-speaking staff and made my stay much easier. The food is excellent and good value for money. The Kaseiki comes with many Japanese small dishes, fresh sashimi and yummy beef shabu. Location is convenient too. 10 minute walk from Kintetsu station and walkable to Todaiji. This places offer very cool traditional Japanese rooms too. We had a LOVELY time at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and attentive, room clean and with nice amenities. The public bath was very clean and wonderfully relaxing. Perfect location near Nara park, quiet area. Was our first experience with Japanese style room and breakfast and we were very happy with it. Defintely recommended! Extra plus that they gave us another breakfast than the other guests on our third morning-as to avoid getting the same food twice. We stayed before at a 4 star onsen ryoukan and new wakasa has much more value for money! The staff was super friendly and if you asked for sightseeing tips you got a map with lots of explanations and a recommended itinerary. The Hotel is really near to walk to either the park with the deers, to the big buddha temple (Tōdai-ji) and some other nice views. In the room there was a massage chair... Lots of amenities: After onsen free haircare, shaver, comb.. This is an excellent traditional ryokan with a warm, welcoming and helpful staff. The Japanese style room was cosy and quiet. The Japanese breakfast and dinner were superb and very well prepared. Another attraction is the hot bath (onsen).....a great way to relax after a long day sightseeing. The hotel is located a few minutes from Todai-Ji temple in the deer park and is in a quiet residential area. Friendly, warm, hospitality even with a language problem was fantastic. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home, including serving me an American continental breakfast which was not part of their regular service. The Japanese dinners were delicious and presented beautifully. The hotel was spotless with a wonderful onsen furnished in simple, but good taste. Exceptional service, friendliness and hospitality all the way from check-in to departure. Quality and presentation of rich and typical Japanese dinner served in-room. Decent communication in English, certainly better than what we've seen before in other small hotels in Japan. Very close to Nara Park, getting to Todai-ji ("Great Buddha Hall") Temple just a 10 mins walk. Really, really fantastic staff. Went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable, as well as help me do things like mail my Mt. Fuji walking stick!. The friendly service and kindness of the staff. Nara was one of my favorite places in Japan. I would go there for a longer time than Tokyo. Rooms Spa Service Location Price. Staff. Nothing I can name of!. Nothing!. The default water you could get outside the onsen has a strong chlorine taste (which is rather common through japan though)... Can't think of a thing. No western breakfast option. Check out times.
