  It's very close to the main square, the bus and train station. Just take the 'Alps' exit and you'll see the hotel. It's right there. The view is very nice (we got the 7th floor) - The hotel is right next to Matsumoto Train Station. Very convinient to the dining area

  Excellent location right next to the train station (as the name suggests). Good base for exploring charming Matsumoto. Staff are very friendly and generally have a good level of spoken English. Rooms are small but comfortable. Wifi signal was very strong in the rooms (enough to support Skype video calls). Good communal baths on the 7th floor. The location of this hotel near the train station, made it very convenient to get to from the Shinkansen. The hotel staff were very friendly and they helped us find four of the towns free bikes so that we were able to see Matsumoto castle before it closed. The lounge next to the bar was also really nice to hang out at and have a few drinks.

  The hotel is well located and easy to find from the station as it is just up the main street. About a 10min walk through the town to the castle. Close to the shops and restaurants.   Great location being walking distance from the train station and the castle with plenty of restaurants and night life nearby.   Very neat, clean, professional and up-market hotel compared to our usual 'backpacker' lodgings. Most expensive accommodation we stayed in, but could not find any better - due to our late booking and its very central location a short walk from the station and a very short walk to the castle. Probably the best cost / value hotel that I have seen in Japan.
