  The hotel is in a perfect location - right opposite the Kyoto station. The station itself is an excellent place for shopping and eating. In front of the hotel is the bus station, which has the buses that will take you to all the sights in Kyoto. Basically, the location of the hotel cannot be better. The hotel feels spacious, classy (but not OTT),... mitä ihmiset sanovat » and well maintained. The staff were very professional, helpful and efficient. Check in and out was quick and without fuss. The room was nicely equip - Excellent American-style service (ie. help with luggage, staff always ready to assist), plus an incredibly good location, VERY close to station! (And also just across from a Post Office, coffee shop and handy 7/11-style convenience store). Room was larger than I'm used to when staying in Japan, and kept very clean. Staff speak some English, and were always helpful. There are food and drink vending machines in the hotel, as well as eateries (though it's cheaper to eat outside of hotel). We were

  Excellent central location in Gion. The taxi driver from Kyoto station was not familiar with the hotel or its location. When drivers don't know a destination, they can locate it by calling the hotel so make sure you have the phone number handy. My fiancee and I rented a traditional Japanese style room with the tatami floor. Not only were the futons that we used on the floors big enough to be the same size as a king-sized bed, but they were extremely comfortable.
