Marco met us with the keys when we arrived. He was very personable, wonderful with information and more then accommodating with many suggestions on where to eat, what to see and even helped us with travel details for our departure. The apartment was very large and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet. There were three other rooms in the apartment with a shared bathroom. All of them were full,yet we never saw anyone else during our stay. The kitchen is set.

The room and the apartment are spacious, light, airy and clean. It was easy to find, just off the main square, which is about 15 mins walk from the bus station. The stairs are not a problem for us but other reviews complain of lack of lift so be aware of this if you are elderly, infirm or lazy. The bathroom is huge, clean and as there are two bathrooms between three. Very pleasant place to stay, extremely close to Piazza Unita d'Italia, the elegant heart of Trieste, to the sea-front and the Castello San Giusto. An easy walk to the bus and rail stations even with baggage. The room and shared kitchen and bathroom were well-furnished with a personal touch. The proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to encourage me to leave my luggage on the premises way past check-out time. Raffaella was really helpfull and friendly. The apartment is very spacious, clean and centric, it has a feeling of a home away from home. With only 3 apt you can meet other people keeping an atmosphere of privacy. Breakfast was selfserved, you could even have breakfast in bed if you wanted to. Wonderful hospitality from our hosts Rafaella and Marco - nothing was too much trouble for them. Spacious room and a large bathroom, shared with only one other room. Everything clean and comfortable and an excellent breakfast provided as well. The couple running the place were charming and helpful. The location was fantastic. What's not to like about a beautiful old building in the centre of the city?!. We had a wonderful, wonderful stay there with our little daughter. We enjoyed the space and kitchen. Excellent location! Raffaella was amazing and looked after us from beginning to end. It felt like a home away from home (although vastly more spacious). Our room was big and quiet, nice beds and bathrooms. the hostess is molto gentile! the palazzo is situated in the very centre of the town and has nice an quiet rooms. Spotlessm great location very nice building great bathroom. Very nice apartment & all facilities are new. Had trouble finding it according to letsbookhotel.com walking directions although it was very easy once we asked someone in the area. It is just a few minutes walk from the bus and train station. We had arrived at night which made it more difficult. The breakfast was a little basic. Just some cereal, one flavour of yoghurt and some packaged bread. Fresh bread, cheese, meat and juice etc would be nice. It was also very hot staying there in late July and we would have liked air con, but it is not advertised so we can't complain. (All minor issues) Breakfast is very much a self-sevice affair from food stocked in the kitchen - on the other hand this means you could also do a bit of self-catering at other times of day if you wished. Bed was slightly hard - but I probably wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't been for the heatwave. Nothing. parking a car can be a problem... It would have been useful to know that there were many stairs to climb. I have a bad back. Luckily I was helped up with my case, but had to carry it down alone. Parking was a painful business, and the nearest parking needed cash for a meter which I did not have. By the time I got back to the car I had a parking ticket. The cost of parking and the ticket made the cost of accomodation much more expensive than a hotel with parking. Typical italian boring breakfast. Could be a bit hot, but we got there in a VERY hot day. Be aware it is on the third floor with no elevator.
