  We loved everything about this converted mill cottage. On walking out of our front door each day we were treated to a fantastic view of Assisi on the hill above us, ten minutes uphill walk or a short bus ride away. At night it was like looking at a fairy land of lights. This was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay, not only for exploring Assisi but other towns in Umb - Very nice host family. Very kind welcoming. Beautiful view of Assisi. Easy to follow, beautiful surrounding path to town (be aware it’s uphill). We were greeted with chocolate and cake. We were offered fresh vegetables from their garden, delicious fresh eggs. We missed the bus stop, we were picked up in town. We were brought to train station. Dear Family, my friend and I are grateful for all your help. We had a very nice stay in your place. Could have been longer.

  The welcome was gracious and staff was helpful upon our arrival and always there to be of assistance. The rooms are clean and spacious. It was pure pleasure to have a seating area.. And the windows that overlook the hills of Umbra were a dream come true. Good folks and a sweet place to stay while you enjoy Assisi. - Hotel Umbra is in the middle of everything; excellently placed. It is beautiful and restful with a gracious and welcoming staff always eager to help and accommodate. It is quiet and grace filled. Meals are excellent. Linen bedsheets were a sumptuous surprise. Artisans and their charming shops were appreciated and fun to visit. Warmth and charm abounds. We went around the world and this spot topped our list of "bests".
