The Fattoria di Villa Rossa is situated in the hills of Montalbano, with incomparable views of the valley below, close to Florence, Livorno, Pisa, Montecatini and Pistoia.
Just 7 kilometres down the road you can find Vinci, home town of the great Leonardo.
Set in the middle of 65 hectares of olive groves and woods, Villa Rossa is a self-contained hamlet, with "cottages" of varying sizes, surrounding the main villa. Each "cottage" has been completely restored and furnished with elegant 18th century Tuscan furniture.
The swimming pool is filled with sea water and falls away in a cascade towards the valley below, to give a splendid and uninterrupted panorama.

Frindly staff, very nice swimmingpool, view of the walley from rooms and many differnt terraces is magnificant. Some of the American staff were very kind and courtious. However theowner and his hench man Patrick looked at us only as source extra incomeand quite held us to ransome given the hotels extremely remotelocation.Swimming guests are required to wear hats in the pool at alltimes - suprisingly on sale at some expense at hostel(hotel). The view. They really need TV in rooms or as a minimum a functional TV lounge.Breakfast can hardly be callen continental....As above - indeed on the last night of the visit we were informrd that apre-arranged dropoff to the airport would not take place and that wewould have to make our own arrangements - this was just five hoursbefore the sceduled departure. Payment was demanded by Ownwer/patrickimmediately on arrival even before inspection of our rooms. Transportarrangements were constantly made and then broken . Even if we had more days to stay in this villa after only one night weleft. We loose the money but was impossible to stay there, because isnot clean.
