  We liked everything about this hotel as our ratings show.The staff were lovely, friendly, spoke magnificent English and could not have done more to welcome us. The hotel was a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Orta and within easy reach of Sacro Monte.. The view from our window of Isola San Giulio was superb. The restaurant we could not fault. We had a comfortable room, a nice balcony (overlooking the town, lake and island) and the staff, mostly one family, were helpful and friendly. The pool is a bonus. The distance from the village centre is just right - a brief stroll but far enough away.

  The staff really took care of us. Our first night we slept in the Quadruple (the room for four persons at the top of the house) at Santa Caterina, and it was nice. The breakfast was super and it was the most beautiful we´ve ever been served. Next night we moved to La casa sul Lago by the lake, which also was nice.
