We left the guys at home and did a sister trip across Italy, which commenced in Naples. This classy five star hotel was a fabulous way to deal with jet lag! Arriving a bit earlier than expected, the hotel staff treated us to cappuccino and cake while they readied our beautiful corner room complete with a spectacular view of the Castel dell'Ovo.

The Grande Hotel Vesuvio is truly grand! It is an elegant top of the
line hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. We were upgraded to a
suite upon arrival and had two large rooms beautifully furnished. They
supply their guests with comfy terry robes and slippers and nice
toiletries. Wi fi was free. The rooms are kept very clean also. We had a
balcony on the front of the hotel and looked out on the waterfront with
its boats, a castle that is lit at night, and Vesuvius looming in the
distance. T

The staff were excellent. It is in a very good situation although the immediate square it is in, is slightly run down and can be intimidating at first. If the noise of fireworks upsets you, this is not the hotel for you, as there are a number of firework shops in the square and during the festivals there are constant loud bangs.

The staff were extremely helpful. I had no problem with the language and they could all speak English. All staff were eager to please and offered excellent advice on where to eat and where to go to experience Napoli. The services offered were exceptional and I was treated as a special guest. Naples is really a beautiful city. The Covo degli Angioini is very well located, close to the harbor and a short walk from the shopping center. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, they explained everything we could see how all the monuments and the most characteristic places to eat.
They welcomed us really well. The room was large and very clean. We will be back gladly.
