An upgrade to Apartment was very welcome and it was spacious and clean.fantastic being right in middle of Florence and close to station, with easy access to restaurants, shopping and all the sites. Toilet was clean and sizeable and decent bfast was provided. Not to mention the location was absolutely central.   The staff is WONDERFUL, kind and helpful. The location is perfect, It was quiet at night, but still very close to all the action. There was a living room area just off my room where you could meet up with other travelers -with a small fridge. I will return to La Cittadella on my next trip and highly recommend it to anyone else visiting Florence. The owner - The hotel is lovely. The room is warm and spacious. The bathroom is big and also has a heater. The desk staffs Teresa and the other guy are very helpful. The hotel is very secured, about 4 locks before you can enter. The lift is reliable. It is also 20 meters away from the bus stop Guido Monaco where you can easily take buses to Sta. Maria Novella and other destinations. There is also a Turkish restaurant and various cafes 20 meters away from the hotel and a Tabacchi store by the bus stop.

  Palazzo Alfani was perfect, a beautiful apartment with everything we needed, local hints and restaurant recommendations. We had a huge apartment, with separate bedroom with afresco ceiling, lovely shower and bathroom, and really well equipped kitchen and living area with enough basic essentials to get you started. The restaurants we were recommended were all top notch, just a shame we only had 4 days, we highly recommend. - we were there for 4 nights for my wife birthday and totally enjoyed our stay there. The apartment was great . Great location as it is very central and within walking distance to many tourists attraction. Right opposite to LE ACADEMIA , Francesca was wonderful and helpful in every way. we will strongly recommend Palazzo Alfani al David and we are already planning on our next trip to Florence and intend to stay there again
