Excellent hotel with a good location near Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi. excellent rooms and excellent service. This hotel is a lesson many top starred hotels should learn from on how to provide service. Joey and Lorenzo are very helpful, providing personal service and tips on what should be visited. What a great little place in a perfect location. The staff is amazing and very helpful. We were first time visitors to Italy. They made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to help us print out tickets etc. Recommended some of the best food we had. The location is tucked away in a coutyard by a church right off of a main street that leads to everything you would want to see in Florence. Would stay there again.

Great location. Stones throw away from the Duomo and the busy cute streets (city centre). Clean rooms and beautifully decorated. Very family friendly. The place is really beautiful (the building as well as the rooms) and the best value for money of any place that we stayed in in Italy. Great location +-5 min walk to Ponte Vecchio and a few metres from the Arno River. Free use of washing machine available. It would be hard to find a better place than this without spending considerably more. I would stay here again.

Novella House is renovated 1800s apartment house with original frescos on the ceilings. It is impossible to roll your luggage into the hotel but fortunately the owner took our bags up into the room (there is a small lift). Our room was spacious with a decent bed; there was a sitting area for tea and coffee, but the bathroom was so tiny, it had a foldaway shower. The room itself is quiet but outside the window you have the typical Italian street noise, maybe more so as there is a boarding house

The location is a close walk to the train station, the staff is friendly and helpful to English speakers. The rooms are comfortable and privacy is there for your private shower and bathroom located just out of your room. Air-Conditioning is there for those hot Florence days which I had.
The train station is maybe a 10-15 minute walk, add another 15 minutes from there to Florence Cathedral.
