Amadeus was amazingly located, roughly half way between the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. It is quite difficult to find initially (there's a separate Hotel Amadeus); you need to head to Saint Maria Formosa square. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good. They also let you leave your luggage once you check out and give you a spare key.

Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.

Easy to get to, we found the place very easy as it was near the vaporatto stop. There is a really good map on the website that shows a red line of the path you should take to get there.
Very convenient as it is close to everything.
The internet worked well for the most part.
Breakfast was pretty basic but gave us a nice start to the day. -

I picked this place because it had a backyard where you are served your breakfast's and you can just sit out their after a full day of walking! We chose the Lido for our Venice trip as we wanted a place that was a little bit reomved from the hustle and bustle of Venice city. It is only a short ferry ride away from Venice itself so is actually perfect for someone who wants to visit Venice but wants to stay away from the crowds. The Villa Gabriella was a comfortable place to stay and was walking distance from the main shopping strip. It is located right next to the beach and the children loved that.
