The hotel is small but our room was quite large. The whole place is well kept, comfortable and, coupled with the warm service, has a very homely feel.
It is 2 mins walk to St. Marks Sq and about 4-5 mins walk to the Rialto Bridge. Having said that

where the owner or other staff were seated. They were very attentive to
our needs, We came in two groups and both needed help finding the place.
In both cases the staff found us and guided us to the hotel.

Nice, cosy room with air conditioning. We had very friendly staff who told us where good local restaurants and tourist attractions were. The best thing about this hotel was the location, very close (5 minute walk) from St Mark's Square. Considering this, the price per night was also pretty good value

All the staff were suberb; they spoke good english, they smiled and they could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent and exactly what we wanted - lots of choice and hot and cold options.

We went just before easter and got a great price - I would not have paid the standard rate during peak season - too expensive and too many tourists. Overall, a brilliant holiday. Casa Petrarca was a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Venezia! The location is hard to beat in my opinion, less that 5 minutes to Piazza San Marco, 10 minutes to the Rialto bridge.
