  Gallarate is the perfect small city to stay in if you are traveling by car or train. The hotel is a short walk from the train station making it easy to take day trips into Milan. One block behind the hotel is a 24 hour parking garage and supermarket. Several nice restaurants are within 3 or 4 blocks. The room was compact but sufficient for my needs as I was only staying one night.
