We were at the hotel Cordova from 17.04 till 20.04. I liked it very much: excellent location within a 10-minute walk from the Duomo and a 15-minute walk from the railway station, on the street Cavour surrounded by shops and restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly, they all understand and speak English, attitude to the guests was very friendly and soulful. In the evening you can sit in the lobby to watch the TV and take advantage of Wi-Fi, which catches even in the rooms. The rooms are ve.

The staff was friendly and the room stayed cool throughout the day and night in spite of the heat outside. The wi-fi worked well and was free. Sheets were changed and towels as well. We stayed for one week and have nothing to complain. I recommend the place to anyone searching for something simple combining extremely good place and good location within the inner city. Nice place, clean and big enough, we had a great view from our hotel room. towels and toiletries provided. basic breakfast of croissants and cereal provided. staff were helpful, esp with giving us support with getting around the city.the city is amazing, there is a huge market down the road from the hotel, thats excellent for shopping, souvenirs and leather. everything is in good walking distance, we were able to see everything without using the public transport. We felt very lucky to have been given the top floor, corner room with a great bancony and view over the city. We sat up there and watched the sun set. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were quite fond of the sweet breakfast and the collection of travel books they have available for guests to consult. Staff was friendly and accomodating and let us leave our bags locked in a closet after check out until we were leaving. I booked a twin room in the hotel (was there with my mom) but when we arrived, they offered us a double one. I asked for a change and the girl at the reception said she'd see what she could do. In a few minutes they brought additional (normal) bed so that we had two beds in the room :) I liked the super fast pace they did it with. Location is quite centric - near the St.Marco square. The staff was excellent and very patient with us as we missed our train and arrived late. Breakfast was very nice (mostly bread & coffee, which is normal for Italy). Our room was fantastic- very large (bigger than I expected) with comfortable beds and a nice hot shower. Florence is a beautiful city and we really want to go back and spend more time there. The room is comfortable, good towels and linen (they are renovating beds and furniture) and you can go by feet to all the places, from the food market (thats just 5 minutes) to the Boboli Gardens (almost half an hour)! No noise during the night, very good breakfast and there were lots of familys and friend groups. The hotel does not look at all impressive, but it was clean and we were assisted in English. The elevator looks dodgy, but worked perfectly. The breakfast was limited but not inadequate. If you're travelling on a budget, this is a good place to stay. Very clean room, 24h staff was always nice and friendly. The hotel is 15 mins on foot from the main centre which is perfect to walk through this awesome city but there are also free car parking and many buses stop just underneth the building. Charlotte is one of the most welcoming and polite person working on the reception. Great understanding, helpful and attentive to details. We were provided a map with all the important places to visit in Florence and we enjoyed it so much. For this price it is a very goog variant. There are no explicit lacks. Value for money. It's very quiet, so it's easy to rest, however, the bed is not very comfortable. It has a balcony where you can relax a little, again, the chairs and the table are not very comfortable and very old. The location is just ok, it's not in the centre but close enough to be able to walk there, a little far but at walking distance. The room and bathroom were both quite large, and the hotel is a 30 second walk to a bus stop, which was very useful. The location. the shower wasnt seperate from the toilet, it was only seperated with a shower curtain, being so close together isnt great. you will need shower shoes. We didnt have a bug repellent the first night, and we were severely bitten, later we find out they should provide it, so check your room has one on arrival. Wasnt pleased we had to pay additional cost for air con, but if you go in the height of summer its worth every penny. The toilet was actually inside the sower area so that was interesting. there is an old elevator but even when you get off it you still have to take half a flight of stairs to get to your floor. Not a big deal for us, but it might be for some. Breakfast is quite poor, room facilities are a bit old but clean...if you are fine with staying in the early-20-century-style room, you'll enjoy it (as we did) :). The location was a bit hard to find, but we made a wrong turn from the bus stop. If we hadn't made that turn, I think it would have been easier. In the daytime, it was much easier to find and very close to attractions. The entrance is dark and ugly, at first we were afraid, but is just to get the lift to the tird floor and you will be at the reception (what is a nice place). Ar conditioned cost extra 5 euro per day. A bit noisy, as the other residents were mostly students. We had to go down and sit close to reception to get Internet connection. Even then it wasn't reliable. The shower pressure was very low, kind of hard to rinse out the shampoo. a lot of mosquitos but they gave us something for them... Rooms need renovation even though they are clean and the shower works good. The climate control was available only with extra charge and we kept the windows open for cool air. As a result of that we were bitten by mosquitos multiple times. The room was stuffy without airconditioning and it should be included in the room charge. The heater was turned on only on request. It was very cold in the room. in Florence I had to leave from hotel early and just wanted to ask for our breakfast, but I couldnt ... and missed 2 breakfasts when I lived there.. The rooms were too loud, noisy and couldnt sleep well :(. When in Florance you can't find other words end emotions then amazing and beautiful. Bathroom sink was blocked, no plug adapter. No parking, inside restricted car zone. Hotel offers parking, but is more expensive than underground parking just up the road ( but stay only for periods of exactly 24 hrs. They asked me to change the room after one day, because a large group of people were coming, and I lived alone in a room for two. Since there is no division between the shower and the rest of the bathroom (which means the floor sink is in the middle of the bathroom) there was a bit of a humidity smell, which was uncomfortable. Other than that, no complaints. It is far away from the center, with really poor facilities and old things, like the door, window. The water in the toilet doesn't work well. No tv set. The washroom is also very simple. An extra charge was asked because of the air condition. The water in the reception desk is almost four times high as those in shops. So actually it is not really a good price like what u see. I dont think I will recommend this hotel to my friends. the position is far from the city center. it's not convenient. The man who used to be at the reception was not very friendly. Room could be cleaner mainly the bathroom. Rooms facing the street very noisy. temperature of shower, the students were sometimes after teen o'clock very loud. The Toilet was too small and smelling, old building, need a reniew... Wifi did not work on ipad nor iphone and the staff couldn't do a thing about it. No tv in the room and the room was kinda damp. 1. No bathroom just a tap on top of the toilett 2. Not comfortable to move from the 3th floor reception to the 5th floor, especially with bags. It was VERY cold in the room. Breakfast was very poor and always the same. many mosquitos, strong and working sprit!. bathroom is too tiny. The hotel is quite old and they haven't pay enough attention to keep it in good conditions, the walls are very dirty. The shower isn't comfortable at all, the water doesn't run properly. The air conditioner is 5 euros per day. The breakfast is not very good and neither is the matress. It was quite far away from the train station. We thought it would be a 15-minute walk but it was more like 45 minutes with a wheelie bag. Old. Shower to close to closet. I have killed many bugs in room. The bathroom, some kind of wet room with no bath just a weird shower. Also while the white sheets were clean the covering looked liked a very old table cloth, also the room looked really dated but I guess was fine to just stick your bag in but not a room you wanted to do anything but sleep in and turn off the lights. Mosquitos (thousend), very very boring italian breakfast, beweare the third floor hotels in a regular apartament building. It's not reccomanded. Room not clean, far from downtown. Small, old looking room. The bathroom looked like from the 70s. Weak breakfast diversity. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
