The girl who came to meet me on my arrival (you must state arrival time as nobody present) was lovely and very helpful. She showed me to my room. The B&B is on the first floor of the building with no lift (it's still being renovated, so front of building is finished but the entrance and back is under dust and scaffolding.) the room was wonderful, the sunflower room with private exterior bathroom. Both very spacious. Heating and tv in room. Huge ceilings with beautiful paintings. I was suppo.
kaikki arvostelut » The first impression when you approach the building is not inviting as it is under renovation but will look great when it's finished. Inside everything was new and clean, each room has its own bathroom in the corridor. There is a kitchen with a fridge where you can prepare your meal, there is a coffee machine as well. Rooms are air-conditioned, second glazing makes you don't hear the street noise. A taxi from an airport 15 euros (October 2013). Very positively surprised by this well designed B&B. All rooms have original/restored Liberté period design. Clean, comfortable, bright. Staff very friendly and helpful. I read elsewhere that the front room has street noise - so we took ear plugs and we slept really well (we are both light sleepers) and wld recommend this to any other light sleepers. I wld certainly stay here again. I loved our staying in this B&B. The room was amazingly beautiful and creatively decorated also very clean and spacious. We could always find coffee, water and sweets in the kitchen. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is perfect only few minutes from the main street by foot. Free parking on the street. I highly recomend this place for long or short stay. The room was spacious and uniquely decorated with frescoes on the ceiling. The bathroom was newly renovated and clean and easily accessible despite being outside the bedroom. We loved having facilities such as the common kitchen, with snacks and breakfast items, and the coffee machine in the foyer. The B&B is a 5/10 min walk away from the central station. The room was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was also big and clean. There is a small common kitchen were guests can store food and use the fridge (no cooking possibility). The staff was also very nice. Good service (kitchen, cofee-machine) and location to bus/train station. B&B is decorated with a good taste. The building is the most ellegant in this area of the city (but I was upset by shabby entrance in the building). Special thanks to girls for a tea they left me in the room. Ipnos is located close to the bus and train station, and a 10 minute walk from the historic center. It is a beautiful, atmospheric pallazzo building, which is being renovated as we speak. Rooms are designy, clean and spacious. Our host was very nice, helpfull and speaks good English. Very close to the train station, and City Urban transit. Located where many bars and acessible to many that of mobilization. The room is private and the bath has an excellence shower spa !!! The staff is very friendly and helpful with information. It's very close to the station and walking distance from the centre. The two young women who run Ipnos are very friendly and helpful. Decor is very stylish, our room was comfortable. Use of espresso machine and kitchen with fridge was very useful. I liked everything - the friendly owner, nicely furneshed room with sea-view oriented balcony, walking distance to bus and train station and to the city centre, good price with breakfast in a nearby cafe, free wifi, use of kitchen possible. One of the best hotels I ever stayed. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are stylish, clean, comfortable. View is amazing by the sea shore. Few minutes walking to the old town. I was a great pleasure to stay there at the end!!. My two nights at Ipnos were great. The hostesses were kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable, they provided light snacks and a breakfast voucher for coffee and croissant at a nearby place. I would absolutely stay again. The staff is friendly. The facility is new and clean. Rooms very nice but facility in need of updating. Pleasant surprise as soon as you have entered the place. Only 4 rooms so are well kept. Bathroom was not en-suite but for our private use. Breakfast was at a bar outside B&B (coupon style) and was sufficient, Italian style. Good location, easy to walk to city centre. Convenient to train. The front rooms are lovely but on a very main road and very noisy, with train just behind that. Big old window with shutters but no double glazing. You can't pay with credit card, as in all the B&B I've had in italy, because of high bank charges. No wi-fi during my stay, apparantly a faulty telephone, but I had to find a café in the main street 5mins walk away to arrange my next stop in taormina. Worth checking about wi-fi if you need it, before booking the B&B. The only disadvantage is the breakfast in a nearby cafe in Piazza dei Martiri which is extremaly small i.e. croissant or pie with coffee or juice. Maybe it would be better to offer a room with no breakfast at a lower price?. Breakfast was a great fresh coffee and choice of bakery - fine for us but anyone expecting a more filling start to the day may need to order extra at a cost. The noise from the busy road outside as well as from the renovations from within the building. Unfortunately the building where the B&B is located is a historical building and from outside it appears decadent (this does not apply to the B&B itself). However, they are renovating some parts of the building. I don't like Catania at all since I visit Taormina, Siracusa and Modica. Because of the renovation work at this moment of the building, it can be a bit noisy. (during the day). Externally the place looks like a building site. Also it's hard to see the Ipnos name which is written faintly amongst other names of tenants or ex-tenants of the whole building. Once you get past the front door, up the stairs and inside Ipnos itself it is very nice indeed. Building entrance is under renovation but seems like close to completion. I had my choice of room, and I picked one with the ocean/street view. It definitely wasn't quite. Fortunately, I brought good ear plugs so, between the ear plugs, comfy bed and blackout door for the window I actually slept really well. It was pretty noisy, but they said they'll change the windows soon, so I suppose it will be much better. the entire building is under renovation with scaffolding in the interior well, so you can't really keep windows open when out. on the up side this classic building should look amazing when the revamp is finished. It's a little bit noisy at night, but still ok. Included breakfast is poor: just bakery + coffee. strrrt noise. Noisy location. Double glazing helped but meant a choice between fresh air and noise. Nothing. Major building work is going on so the approach was very dusty and dirty, and could have been intimidating. Rest of the building undergoing renovation so had to be negotiated with care, but should be fine when it's finished. But outside the hotel is under construction, so the outside is a little dirty. And since it is near to the road, a little bit noisy. Repairs at the entrance on the ground floor. But I hope this is a temporary phenomenon. Difficult accessing the gated complex as the instructions for the electronic gate lock were not very clear. Exterior B&B sign not in an ideal place. The entrance to the building is frightening and dangerous. There are on going works which once completed should eliminate these problems. Staircase in the house where B&B was located. Wifi didnt work during the entire stay. No elevator. Nothing in the entrance to suggest that you have actually reached the hostel. Kind of sketchy if you are arriving late at night. Would be useful if management warned of the works going on in the property (so guests know what to expect once they arrive). Rooms which get to the sea are very loud because of the road just near the window (we needed to change it after our first night). Reconstruction in the building which is very inconvenient but it seems to be done by July. No beach at all, you cannot go to the sea. You need to take a bus to get there. B&B upstairs, no lift. Downstairs being renovated so jack-hammering and DUST. Breakfast outside hotel. the place very difficult to find. very noisy the morning due to works on the building information on the breskfat not correct.
