The host, Alfonso, will do everything possible to enhance your stay and his breakfasts are extraordinary! The apartment is right in the old part of Agrigento so you can walk to any number of wonderful restaurants of an evening. Parking in the street is a nightmare, but Alfonso will give up his parking spot to make sure. This was an incredible place to stay. We were fortunate to have the suite which overlooked the Mediterranean and the Valley of the Temples. The suite itself is huge and well- appointed with a great balcony to enjoy a lovely afternoon antipasti. The breakfasts were wonderful,and the price of all this was amazingly reasonable. All of this was made possible by the host, Alfonso, who goes out of his way to make sure all his guests are happy and well taken care of. He will even come to get you . We enjoyed this b & b very much. Charming host, very comfortable accommodations, nice breakfast, very handy to one of the most amazing archeological areas we've seen, and an excellent dinner at a reasonable nearby restaurant "Mare et Terra." The entry to the b & b is on the 5th floor of a tall, old bldg, the reception and 2 rooms are on the 1st, below grade on one side, but overlooking the road below on the back of the bldg, and the archeologic site in the distance. We had a large roo. La Casa di El is the dreamed B&B. Located in the center of the town with an incredible view on the Temple Valley, the rooms have personality and are very nice and comfortable. Moreover, Alfonso, the host, is a wonderful person, helpful, full of attention and good advices. He makes feel very comfortable and have a great sense of hospitality. The breakfast is an explosion of Sicilian tastes (special bakery, home-made marmalade, yogurts, honey, very good juices...) and can be eaten on the terr. Casa di El is located just off of Via Athenea, a beautiful street filled with great shopping, restaurants and boutiques. It is very close to the centre of the city and the view from our room overlooked the Valley of the Temples. The service was outstanding! Alfonso (the hotelier) brought our breakfast to our room daily - it was amazing. He gave us directions on where to eat, and how to get around the city. We were there to attend a wedding and he provided great directions to the church and the . The front door is more like a normal apartment, but when you enter the B&B you quickly notice a lot attention to details, a lot of thoughts with the decoration and it feel like a boutique hotel. Alfonso... the owner/manager will do anything to please and he is a good person to explain /recommend the best stay possible in this area. The breakfast on the small terrace was fantastic, will be in our memory for very long time :-)... as well of extremely generous and again, far better than expect. We had a little trouble finding the B&B which is in an unassuming block of flats, but some friendly locals helped. After that the whole experience was lovely. Alfonso sat us down with coffee and cakes and explained where to go for everything. The room was large and wonderfully decorated and everything worked. But the best bit was having the most wonderful breakfast served in our room - 4 different fruit juices, 4 different jams, 6 different pastries, etc. - all home made and beautifully pre. The owner of the B & B was very friendly and helpful. It's a very quirky place, with our "suite" being in the basement of a block of flats. Never had that before, but people owning B&Bs in blocks of flats seems to be common in Sicily. Breakfasts were very good and we c ould have opted for a savoury breakfast if we wanted (which we did on the second morning). Very near to the town centre, so we didn't have very far to walk to any shops or restaurants. We stayed there for 1 night (September 22, 2013) with my son and his wife; our 2 rooms have view over the Valley of Temples and the sea, comfortable beds, impeccably clean and with air conditions, delicious breakfast on the terrace with the amazing view. The owner of B & B Alfonso is a great host, always ready to help you with any request, gave us great recommendations for dinner. Thank you very much Alfonso for your warm Sicilian hospitality. Everything. The apartment comprised a large sitting room and separate bedroom with ensuite shower room. It was delightfully furnished with comfortable and luxurious sofa and armchairs as well antique furniture. The décor was atmospheric. Breakfast was the best we'd had and was eaten on a small veranda outside the sitting room. There were panoramic views from bedroom and veranda. Very friendly small B&B. The owner provided a local map recommendations of where to park, sight sea and eat. Rooms have a lovely view over the temples (2 miles) and the ocean. The rooms are a good size, clean and although they overlook a road I slept well. Breakfasts were great with generous helpings on a small terrace. Alfonso was a gracious host, very informative about the sights of Agrigento and the Valley of the a temples, as well as suggestions for incredible restaurants all within walking distance. Only had 2 nights here and it made everywhere else we stayed pale in comparison (both on the bed and the breakfast sides). We were fine, but just a note that parking as usual in older towns is limited. Everything was perfect !. Nothing!. Parking, but no worse than any other place inside and Italian town!. Parking was difficult and whilst we did manage to find a free place, we were a bit nervous about leaving the hire-car on-street. There is a public car park nearby but it's very expensive. none. Parking can be a challenge in the historic section, Alfonso was a big help in this and once we parked chose public transportation to get to see the archeological ruins. Finding the place was difficult, and parking in the street is a bit of a nightmare - but then our host was very helpful in both of these issues. Luckily we had a phone. Nothing… :-). Nothing. nothing. Nothing at all. Our room had a detached bathroom, which I didn't realize when I booked it (or maybe we got a different room than intended, since we checked in early?). It was still a private bathroom, and only a few steps from our room, but we had to go past another room to get to it. Nothing. none. Nothing. A good hotel to stay in. All so good except perhaps shower water pressure but this was far out weighted by everything else. A little difficult to locate in a narrow as is usual in Sicilian towns but Alfonso sorted things out very quickly and helped with parking information. The shower may be a little bit uncomfortable. nothing. Shower Parking. Owner frequent access to common lounge. We had to park on the street (and it was narrow). Building work going on outside, so access a little difficult.
