  "Nothing seemed to be too much trouble". That sums up my impression of this place. The Owners were friendly and ALWAYS welcoming. Evening meals were excellent. I am pretty certain all the rooms are in the roof space, thus the rooms have pitched ceilings. Care is needed when moving around the room. Minor in"conveniences" to my mind, and should not deter anyone looking for an excelle - Wonderful warm atmosphere. Cosy living room with fireplace, feeling like being at home. Nice bedrooms with en-suite bath, good working hot shower, everything you need! Friendly hosts, always trying to be helpful, excellent tips, f.e. detailed description how to climb Carrauntoohill. Excellent, freshly cooked meals. NIce breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs as you like it, home-made bread, etc. One of the best B&B I ever stayed at!

  The Location was beautiful. The Owners Breda and Patrick were extremely pleasant, friendly and courtous. The location exuded peace, tranquility and relaxation. They are perfect hosts doing their utmost to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. The setting of the house is beautiful. Wonderful walks are possible starting from the hotel and mountains, lakes and sea are all around, easily reachable by car. An ideal place to relax and breathe fresh air.

  Glencar House is in a very nice location tucked away in the country side. The views and quiet location take a little time to travel to but I prefer this compared staying in a busy town. If you enjoy a hotel with lots of character and old charm, this is the place to stay. The bar with the fireplace is a great place to relax and - An absolutely beautiful hotel, located in a beautiful spot, surrounded by beautiful views and filled with beautiful people who made our stay just wonderful :) Incredibly friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. We arrived late in the evening - having driven for four hours from Dublin and were instantly offered dinner...or anything we wanted really! As I said - they couldn't have been more helpful.
