from the moment we walked in the door we had the warmest of welcomes. The room was really spacious, comfortable, warm and better than many hotels I've experienced. Lots of choice for breakfast and very relaxed about timing! We weren't hounded out of the room at 10 in the morning, the landlady was more than happy to accommodate a late breakfast. She gave us lots of suggestions about what we could do and where the best places (and most readonable if that's what you're after) were in the town.

I can say with no doubt that staying in Connemara Coutry Lodge was a great decision, we had a great time there. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly, Mary is just a great hostess and she sang some songs after the breakfast. Lovely! We were very sorry to spend just one night the, I'd recomend this B&B to everyone coming to Ireland. We loved Mary Corbett and her warm Irish welcome. Mary runs a wonderful establishment only 5 minutes walk from Clifden town. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and ensuite bathroom.There was a good choice for breakfast and everything was freshly prepared. We also appreciated the large Car Park where our hire car was safe. Mary was welcoming and entertaining. She was there to answer questions and help with everything. She shared the songs and instruments of Ireland after serving a delicious lunch. Great place to stay!. The breakfast and hospitality was great, but nothing beats the music and signing that Mary provided during breakfast. We loved the personal touch she provided and her friendliness was lovely. We completely enjoyed our short stay, we were there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, to which Mary [the owner] made a great effort and succeeded in making us feel special. Friendly and helpful host. Great location in town of Cliften. 3min walk to centre. Spacious rooms. Quiet road for traffic and noise. Great spot. The lovely relaxed atmosphere and Mary's singing and musical entertainment was a joy.anyone staying here could not fail to have a wonderful stay. Mary was very warm and welcoming. Enjoyed her singing and music. Great breakfast, best accommodations we have run into thus far into our trip. Owner Mary Corbett is a delight. The food, facilities and ambiance superb. In a remote portion of Ireland this was probably as good as one gets. staff wer friendly room was clean and was close to town centre. was close to the town of Clifden,. The beds and pillows could have been softer, but we found them inline with other places we stayed throughout Ireland. there was a embarrassing moment when leaving, we provided our credit card to book, and on the invoice it stated the payment would be taken during our stay, so on leaving and saying our goodbyes we were told we had not paid yet as Mary will not accept credit cards, your invoice doesn't make this clear, I mention this as we were told its happened a number of times, even to phoning them to return and pay,. Not much. nada. The guest house had no airconditioning and it was unbearable so we stayed out late to mininise our time in the room. We couldn't stay longer. A little bit dated in room. Lack of light in dining room. They do not take credit or debit cards. No room available for evening sit down. Late time for breakfast, nearly 8.30. The Inn keeper, though sweet intentioned was rather cloying. at 89 euro for one person per night i thought it was quiet pricey. Overbearing proprietor, poor service, overpriced and no atmosphere.
