With sweeping views of Meteora and the age-old plane trees, this traditional guesthouse enjoys a central location in the city of Kalampaka. Rooms have balconies with views of the rocks. Mythos Guesthouse is situated next to the Town Hall, and the Tourist Information Office, and about 100 metres from public transport and taxis. Meteora's weekly street fair is held nearby. Bars and restaurants are less than a 5-minute walk away.

We stayed at Mythos Guesthouse for 2 nights in October 2013 to visit the Meteora monasteries. The owner Spiros and his team were very friendly and helpful hosts and gave us plenty of useful information and a map for our visit of the Meteora area and the monasteries. The food in the restaurant is excellent and we enjoyed our dinners on the nice terrace below huge plane trees. The restaurant and the rooms are very nicely designed and decorated with a lot of attention to detail. Our room had a bal.
kaikki arvostelut » Fantastic position: on the Meteora side of town with amazing views of the rocks from our rooms; central but plenty of parking outside. Our two rooms were large, charmingly decorated, with a balcony and fridge each, and extremely good value. Excellent buffet breakfast included eggs and homemade cake. But above all, the welcome and attention from Spiros and Dita was outstanding; both speak perfect English. Spiros gave us useful information on seeing monasteries and where to eat afterwards. The staff - English-speaking - were very friendly; stay two nights and they will already know you on a first-name basis, will have helped you with your itineraries (if needed) and will have made you feel a warm and welcome friend. The location is ideal, the views great - though this must be the case for all hotels in Kalabaka or Kastraki. Additionally, there is a cafe on the main street, with "Healthy coffee" advertised: I would highly recommend taking 20 minutes and enjoying one, with some yog. Perfect location- in the feet of the Meteora rocks,same time in the town center,but in a quite place.Spacious rooms in a traditional style.Perfect cleaness,enough options to have a good breakfast & traditional restaurant in the house ground floor.Very supportive & energetic owner,who gave us a lot of useful advices,also a leaflet with detailed info for the monastiries.Free parking in front of the guesthouse.Fair co-relation price/service.Lovely place, perfect rooms with a lot of personal touch. Food in own restaurant was typical greek with excellent wines, espacialy the Retsina Rose I drank on the shady terras. View from here at rhe Meteora is exceprional. To be recommended!. Family Members Are Running The Hotel Including Preparing The Food. Very Clean And Safe. The Greek Salad Was Perfect. The Hotel Has A Good Price When Comparing With Others. This Hotel Is ideal For Those Who Seek A Quite Spot To Relax ...Very close to city center and the only rooms with directly at the Meteora. Very welcoming owner (Spiros) excellent food at restarant with big terras and shadow. The local wine (Retsina Rose) is rare to fiend in Greece. We love this place. The owner Mr. Spiros is very friendly and helpful. The Guesthouse is really well kept and the rooms are furnished with taste. The price is not too high and well worth an accommodation located at the base of the majestic rock pillars. The guesthouse is in a very quiet place, but very close to the mainstreet (1 min), with beautiful view of Meteora cliffs. The owners are very nice, so are the rooms and the food in the restaurant is very good: lambchops are a must. Hotel owners were very friendly and helpfull, room was very comfortable and nice decorated with nice balkony and view to Meteora, breakfast was excelent. Definetly recommend during your kalambaka stay. The location was nice. The owner was very kind. He did a lot of efforts for us to feel very well. He explained to us the local attraction in a very good english. At departure he gave us a gift!. The staff was extraordinary, friendly and accomidating. The hotel has convenient location. Our room was very nice, it has balcony and the view to the rocks. There is a canopy in the bedroom. The staff is responsive and polite. Spiro very helpful, great views, traditional decor, balcony, great food, excellent location to visit meteora and very close to train, bus, shops and erestaurants. We loved the Mythos Guesthouse. It is family run and vey hospitable. Great food in the taverna and beautiful view of the rocks. Attractively furnished room. Close to bus stop. Fairly quiet location. They provide an abundant and varied breakfast. All was great! Unfortunately the taverna below the guesthouse had not yet opened for the summer. It sounded really good!. No criticisms. Breakfast could have been better. - nothing at all. The breakfast is rather poor. Breakfast was quite average. room was very cramped with almost no walking space when cases are on the floor which was the situation as we only stayed one night so didn't want to unpack. Haven't refrigerator in room. The other room which was the same price was fairly small Insufficient warm water for showers. our room had a terrible smell of mould because of the bathroom which didn't have proper ventilation. Facilities in general. Facilities in room should be improved. rooms to rent ,nothing more.
