  Easy walking distance to central station or indeed right to city centre (half an hour or so) if you like a stroll. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room - no street noise that we heard. Nice little bar for a cheeky beer after a busy day. Public transport ans a few restaurants all in walking distance.   The apartment had a wonderful fireplace that kept the room adequately warm during our stay. Plus there was an abundant supply of firewood to keep it going. Mr Palmie was very courteous, showing us around and pointing out the convenient map of the city, with points of interest. One euro for a nice bottle of German be - Owner was incredible friendly and I felt his care in every single inch of this apartments. A lot of tiny things like toys for my kids in closet, sewing kit, a lot of towels, shaving kit, parking slot for mobile phones (you must see it!!! :) ), box of different sorts of beer and soda...fireplace was prepared and warm when I arrived,...and (what is rare for apartments) - I've got exactly (and much mooooore) that I could see on photo here, including giant old safe in apartments - I don't know how

  This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Also, it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Marienplatz (which is another good location). Most of the top sights of Munich are right nearby. The same is true of many of the best restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful with reservations, including getting us excellent seats at a very popular performance of Rigoletto, which was right around the corner. They also selected and reserved a perfect restaurant for our first night in the city. Very nice!

  We were traveling by train so having the main train station 10 minute walk away from the hotel was convenient. Also 10 to 15 minute walk to city center. Staff very helpful. - Excellent value for the money. Excellent location.
