  We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at Das Tergernsee and had a wonderful time. The entire reservation was handled professionally and efficiently and we were delighted with the room, menu and decor. The hotel is beautiful, with the most fantastic view of the lake. Our only regret was not spending more time in this lovely hotel.   Very nice hotel, easy to access with a free parking reserved to the guest of the hotel, the room had a beautifull view on the montains with a balcon around your room. The breakfast is self service buffet with a lot of choices and it's fresh. No noise and very quiet. To know : the staff speak only german and english.   Great value for the money in Germany. The staff made a point of remembering your personal preferences. I stayed at 2 different 5-star Hotels (one was even advertised as a Castle 5 star Hotel) in 2 different cities on the same trip.   We most enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the willingness of the staff to help in anyway. - We loved the buffet. It changed every night. It was delicious! The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Even a late check out for our sick friend was not a problem.
