We came off a boat trip up the Rhine and found the hotel an easy 15min walk to the hotel from the landing. We found the staff most helpful as we only speak English. They directed us to a great little German pub with very good food at an excellent price. The host was a hoot!! The hotel breakfast was lovely , well presented. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel did not seem much but it was the only free room at a short notice. Not our first choice. Yet the staff was very friendly and helpful despite being very busy and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. The castle next door is gorgeous!.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Possibility to park the car in front of the hotel to load luggage. Good Wifi connection. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. My room had a balcony with a view over the Rhine River. Possibility to go jogging along the Rhine River. They have beautiful rooms with terrific views on the river Rhine,very comfortable and spacy rooms and they are very helpful. Their pricing is very reasonable and good value for money. Great breakfast. Loved the location on the Rhine. Allowed us to have a lovely walk on a beautiful spring evening. Very friendly and helpful. Easy walk from the train station. We found nothing wrong as it was what we expected. A bit far from the closest bus stop and the pollen from the trees across the street gave us an allergic reaction. The hotel is outdated passed its glory days in the 70's and 80's and needs refurbishing to modern standards. It was not made clear to me that parking was possible in the Tiefgarage. I parked my car at the parkinglot near the Schloss in 10 mins. walking distance, but at reasonable fare. Dark hallways. Expensive Internet. Check out system could use updating. Waited in a queue for about 20 minutes while some guy argued about the 4 bills he was paying at once, requesting each one to be reprinted more than once. In that whole time, the staff did not think to deal with any of the other 6 pre-paid guests waiting to simply get our reciepts, hand in keys and leave (takes all of 30 seconds). Staff training or more staff on call to handle such events would be great. Was late to work thanks to that ... The room was extreemly too hot and there was no provision for à fan or Airco .We had to keep the Windows open and noise from the major road and cars made matter worst. Booked a cheaper rate, but got charged for the higher price. Just called letsbookhotel.com and they fixed it. We were fine with it. The wifi only works on one device, so if you have multiple devices you need to buy multiple passcodes or choose which device you want to put the code in. Most Americans would want to know that there is not AC. In fact in much of Europe AC is not common. The fact that I had to pay for wireless internet was pretty annoying. Older style TV. There was a bath in our room, but without curtain in the bathroom. So it was very difficult to take bath. Water was everywhere. Hope, hotel will fix this problem. Separate charge and procedure for internet, distance to university. Very small tv I think only 12 inch old fashioned. We are older and couldn't see it. Wifi down for several days. Would have been good to have been told at check in time rather than try it and find out later. They could have told us up front and maybe given address of Internet cafe. Cooling system at the breakfast room, for meat and cheese was having problems with the heat. No hot tap water in the morning om room 110.other friends had no problems in different rooms. The hotel is in desperate need for renovation. In its current state it would have been considered luxurious 20 years ago, right now it just looks old and outdated. This really applies for everything, from the furniture to carpets and the TV (probably older than me). The price we paid for it is 72 eur for one night which is crazy. For what it is 50 eur per night would be too much. Deco and style needs a little renovating or updating. No shopping place nearby. Traffic to downtown is by walking. room Looks old. Night staff lack of local knowledge. Black desktop and panelling. The staff is surly. "All rooms have Wi-Fi internet access" does NOT mean free access. There was an extra charge if you actually wanted to *use* the Wi-Fi. I'm just glad they didn't also charge me to use my shower. no free wifi in room which galls somewhat considering that this is standard inclusion in even budget hotels in southern europe, quite some distance to bahnhof. Room was small. Bathroom was extremely small. Old TV. From friday afternoon til monday no internet connection in the hotel. Is that possible in 2013 ???. We had a faulty shower, we had a faulty TV, we had a Faulty fridge, when we brought this to the attention of the staff (twice) they said they could do nothing, I emailed the management and they have not responded.
