The fact that the bar was a real focal point for the area should be stressed more.   Lovely welcoming staff. We had a standard double room with a very comfortable bed. The room was nicely spacious with an apple computer with Internet and ipod speaker doc. The shower was stocked with White Company products and and Asprey soaps. Very nice! They have a great do not disturb policy and let each guest just enjoy their time away.   We had a problem with our room (it was smelling smoke) and people from reception had a quick and nice reaction, they changed our room, thing that we appreciate a lot. Breakfast is quite good with a german touch (muesli, german delicatessen and german cheeses, german bread). This is a really confortable hotel (beds and comforters...). The hotel was situated within walking distance of Museum Island and the Nikolaiviertel so sightseeing was easy. Having a subway station across the street gave us convenient access to the rest of Berlin.

  Great location, great apartment - clean, neat, bright, ground level. Had a grand piano which is a plus for us as my son plays piano. Easy to get to. One full/double bed and one pull-out sofa bed. Nice kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, dishes, etc. Bathroom w/tub/shower, washing machine and hairdryer included.   The apartment is extremely well situated in a vibrant part of Alexander Platz. The place was clean and well appointed with all the necessary features and appliances you may need. Dorothea was a great help hanging around when we were delayed.
