We stayed for one night only, the service was excellent and the friendly staff were attentive to all our needs. A nice touch was the free train travel voucher they give you to explore Freiberg, the station being a five minute walk from the hotel, with regular half hour trains to the city centre taking about 10-12 mins. Breakfast was ample and varied, the room was clean with the benefit of a shared balcony with table and chairs for eating/drinking or just chilling. Car parking on site and free.

Run by lovely helpful couple Ensured we had a special pass allowing us to travel around area on trains a buses, as far as Basel for FREE.V useful for visiting wine fairs and Freiburg. We did not get chance to eat in restaurant but apparently our host is a well known local chef. However when we arrived back late requesting only a snack they produced a delicious Flamkuchen which they need not have done and was much appreciated. Our second time at this lovely, well run family hotel. Spotless rooms and a bountiful breakfast made it a very pleasant stay with a free train pass thrown in if you wanted to visit the town of Freiberg nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location and the free train pass to city was very helpful (great shopping in the city!) Breakfast was lovely to. The hotel had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, whilst remaining efficient. The restaurant was excellent and good value for money. Only stayed one night for sleeping on our way to Italy. Everything was as described on the website Good Restaurant. friendly helpful staff,excellent good value food,large comfortable room with sofa. Great staff. Good restaurant. Free parking in the shadow was worth a lot to us. great location clean room and very nice restrauant on site. breakfast was great, couldn't try the restaurant though. The restaurant is very nice and the breakfast is excellent. The room is big but the furnishig and the bathroom need some investment. They didn´t charge us the parking fee. Family hotel, very polite and ready to help. Clean, only 10 to 15 min from Freiburg. Gottenheim is an excellent base but is a small village so not much happening at night. It was very very hot weather while we were there (due to heat wave) and no air con so at night it was to hot to sleep. Only one wifi connection per room available. nothing. Poor wifi. nothing at all. Althougn it is located at 15 minutes driving from Comar, the location it is not nice, surrounded by an industrial area. No elevator.
