The hotel is part of a new development at the southern tip of the Presqu'il - there's a significant shopping mall right next door - so the decor is nice and there is free wi-fi. I loved the fact that, at the press of a button, the window from the bedroom to the bathroom became transparent, so I could watch tv in the bath! The staff are really helpful. Breakfast is ok but nothing to write home about. Although it seems like it's out of the way, it's just round the corner from the t1 tram, which c.

It is situated in the developing area close to the old town, together with recently constructed offices, apartments and a shopping centre. The view from the window is therefore the old river side and modern architecture, which is nice. In getting to the old city I highly recommend to use the boat instead of the tramline+underground. It is much cheaper than public transport and it will take you to the centre in ~30 min. The dep. This is my second stay at the hotel, the main reason I chose it is because my daughter, who was studying in Lyon, was living in one of the apartment blocks opposite the Confluence Centre. The hotel is very new and fresh, is situated in a very nice location and has excellent shopping facilities and transport links. This is my second time in this hotel this year. Excellent location close to public transportation and next to a shopping mall and overlooking the river. I liked the staff ethics and cooperation. Room sound insulator is important to me because I like to sleep in a quiet rooms. It's not in the city centre, but travelling by tram and then metro to sights in the city is easy and convenient. Staff at the reception (particularly the lady who checked us in and made dinner reservations for us) are very friendly and helpful. The hotel felt very new. Internet system which other Novotels also employ is awful, every time my phone or computer went to sleep I had to apply for a new 5 hour block. A little far from the city unless you like walking. i saw a tray left outside a room for over 5 hours and it had started to smell. Housekeeping were cleaning the floor and walked past it but left it on the floor, i was quite disappointed. It was declared that wifi was free but 1euro was withdrawn from my credit card. Breakfast is not included and to eat near is not possible. There is no hot battery in the room, outside was strong rain and our clothes got wet and we could not dry it. Location. Approach to the hotel was sketchy. Lot of buildings nearby need to be / are being refurbished, not a pretty sight. felt far from the center of the city, though only a relatively short distance away. surrounding area was a giant mall and a lot of industrial construction area - still felt up and coming. the rain - all weekend... I liked mostly everything. Nothing particularly. Nobody helps with the bags.!!. Room smelt heavily of smoke. Little out of town. food average. Nothing. Beds have hard pillows. Wireless LAN connection is bad.
