Very friendly and welcoming staff and the place has a homely feel about
it; a small room but feels like a bedroom (rather than hotel room); the
kitchen didn't appear as a buffet, but instead a meal at the kitchen
table with relatives (whom you have just met). Finally: Whether this is
a pro or con is down to the traveller: if you are arriving after 20:00,
tell the staff, because the town appeared to be silent by 21:00. kaikki arvostelut »
Absolutely fabulous place. The owners are extremely kind and interesting, and made me feel very welcome. The room felt just like a country cottage room and had a huge collection of books to curl up with. I'd love to come back here in the summer. Very plentiful breakfast and a thoroughly relaxing vibe.
Sally and David were excellent and entertaining hosts. It was wonderful to be surrounded by his delightful paintings. Food was excellent and they went out of their way to be helpful. Very close to everything. Overlooks the river and the Cathedral tower. Recommend.
Cozy rooms walking distance from downtown. Welcoming hosts with great insights on the community and the local art scene. We enjoyed or stay at the Atelier du Soulondre and will gladly return, perhaps to attend one of David's workshops.
peaceful, simple, quiet.
The location is great for feeling 'away from it all' even when
inside a city, but a word of warning: I saw one sign to affirm the
correct street, but the hotel itself has just a sign on the pedestrian
entrance (from what I saw). The road itself is terribly narrow, and from
what I heard, continues to shrink in width until a dead-end at the top
of the hill. I'd highly recommend parking before you set down this
street / footpath.
We couldn't stay longer this time.
