  We spent 6 days and nights at Apartmani Matea. Our host's were wonderful, informative and forever helpful. Our room (studio) was perfect, modest, comfortable and had a beautiful view from sunrise till sunset. Definitely the best location (Stikovica) in the Zaton bay area. This was our 2nd time to Dubrovnik and we much preferred our accommodation here than in the old city. We plan on staying again next year. R - The sea view was absolutely amazing -you could spend all day on the spacious balcony just watching the sea - cruise ships, boats, the coast, people. It was just great. The beach was a short walk. Dubrovnic was only 15 minutes down the road. It was a great base for visiting the city. Our kids really enjoyed staying here. The owners were really nice and very friendly and the apartment had everything we needed.

  We loved the accommodation. The proprietors were so helpful and friendly. it was relaxing, quiet and family friendly.The village had two restaurants but no shop.This was not a problem as the proprietors offered to take us to the nearest shop (about half a mile away) whenever we wished at no charge! We had a rental car which was helpful, but owners will shuttle you into Old City since parking is very difficult. Villa Doris is very clean, and quiet with simple, very affordable accommodations. A definite recommendation for the best of both worlds.....easy beach, boat access and the cultural life of Dubrovnik.

  The Hotel is family friendly in a hidden small village part under the coast road, second row from a tiny nice beach.   Everything was perfect! We stayed in the superior apartment for a week. The equipment of the apartment was high level (see view from the bed, gift wine and refreshings in the fridge, wifi) and the coast and the private beach (with sunbeds and umbrellas) was also really super. I recommend to see the old town from the cable car and you should made one day ex - We liked the private beach, which starts at the apartment doors, fully equipped with chiase-longs and umbrellas, cleanliness of the appartments and extremely nice and freindly owners, who were helping us around on many occasions. Sea is quite deep there, with the cliffs, so not so much recommended for small kids, but great for jumping.
