The location is amazing, outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre, in the middle of the countryside. This is a place where you can definitely relax after a long trip and feel the silence around you! The staff speak English very well and offer information about different possibilities to enjoy in your leisure time. They were very nice and after arranging an airport shuttle with them, they made sure we got to the airport on time. The food is cooked in the hotel in front of The Cosy Gar.
kaikki arvostelut » This place is lovely and very laid back. Its true that it takes a bit to get there from Yangshuo town, but the walk/ride is worth it. Its a quiet and safe place to stay and one of the best experiences I had while travelling China, at a very reasonable price! My room was big, clean and had everything I needed. The food you can eat at the hostel is great, too. The best thing about this place is the crew of the hostel. They arranged several trips for me, answered questions and were incredibly nice. We liked the super friendly staff. They make you feel home. Because of this place we liked Yangshuo more then we would like without this cosy place. The breakfast is not included but for a small price you can order a great range of different dishes/ menu sets witch are really great value for money! Good start of the day! I became ill one day and than there is a nice commen lounge area where you can sleep on the big benches with a blanket and watch a DVD on a big ass LCD screen. Paul, his wife . Amazing hostel! Staff is great, Paul helped us organizing visits of the Yangshuo area by scooter and we simply loved every second we spent there! They also organized a two days trip to Longsheng Rice Terraces for us, and everything worked perfectly. The rooms are very nice and spotless clean, beds are comfortable and common areas are indeed cosy. They even make great coffee! The location is a good 20 mins walk to Yangshuo city center, but we considered it a big advantage because Yangshuo is def. There are a ton of things to like about this place, comfortable, clean and in a quite little village 15-20 minutes away from the tourist mobs of Yaungshuo -but the staff are the best part. They're all fluent in English and you'd be hard pressed to find a kinder or more helpful group anywhere. Thanks for the great stay!. The location was the best. It's about a mile out of the busy touristy streets of Yangshuo. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were helpful and knowledgeable about bike routes, renting rafts, cooking classes,etc. The owner?manager? Paul is a British expat with lots of great China travel stories. Love the location in the countryside with friendly English speaking staff a plus. Comfortable rooms and an excellent, reasonably priced Western menu. Staff always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy Yangshuo to its fullest. Shuttle service a boon. The staff is great. It's not close to the west street, but it was much better this way, for all activities, they come to pick you up the the hostel. Food is great, specially breakfast. It was very nice to spend a rainning morning at the living room, talking!. i really enjoy to live in The Cosy Garden. the boss n staff are very nice n friendly. the environment r peaceful n beautiful. i like it very much. n they provide a very good service. i would love to live in there next time. We found the walk to the West street (20 min.) easy. Good bikes available. Lovely and quiet after a couple of nights in Yangshuo. Nice setting. Very helpful in shuttling in and out of town. A great hostel in a village 25 minutes walk from the centre of Yangshou. Nice quiet environment and a nice cosy garden. The bathroom was very small and had the shower just next to the toilet and washbasin, so when you take your shower everything gets very messy. I had to take the towels and the toilet paper out of the bathroom so that they wouldn't get wet. There were ants in the room, but I guess that cannot be avoided when you are in the countryside. The bathroom is small and not very logical, like a lot of the Asian bathrooms. Everything gets wet and a bit smelly sink. Nothing, everything was perfect (even the location). Nothing. Housekeeping needs to improve. nothing. Pretty dead at night. Don't stay here if you want a party (we didn't!) The peace was shattered by a small building site next door starting work early in the morning. Unfortunate and beyond their control. cold bathroom without shower cabin, small room with very little furtniture, somewhat limited menu. The drawback of the distance from town is an advantage at the same time. The water for shower is not hot. I thought the vegetable salad (first item on salad menu) had much too much onion, so I didn't order that again. I was expecting lettuce, tomato, cucumber and maybe just a bit of onion for flavor. But everything else on the menu we really enjoyed. The food was reasonably priced, tasty and nutritious. Washroom. Funny smell at the toilet, dead bug on bedsheet.
