Next to an ancient wall, Zifengyuan International Youth Hostel features a traditional Chinese-style exterior and free wired internet. It was within walking distance (10-15 minutes at most) to the Drum/Bell towers, and the Muslim area located behind the Drum tower. The staff were extremely accommodating and answered any questions that I had, even if they were stupid ones. A spectacular choice for anybody on a student/backpacker budget. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful at all times. The room is was big and comfortable, however it wasn't cleaned which we didn't mind. Great value for money and in a perfect location to get to all hotspots of Xian.
