Everything you'd expect from a YHA. Great location, not far from East Nanjing Rd Subway station. The staff are helpful and friendly. Atmosphere of the foyer is that of a hostel - place to sit and relax, free internet, beverages and food on the menu. Free luggage storage after checkout. Double room was spacious and clean with TV and slippers and extra trundle bed. Contains all the other facilities expected, kitchen and entertainment room. Also in close proximity to a number of restaurants.
kaikki arvostelut » Almost all the staff spoke English. I stayed in a private double room and it was spacious and clean enough, the bathroom is very good, and the mattress OK. Wifi in the room. Quiet at night. Perfect location, close to the main street to go shopping, and to the line 2 metro station which takes you straight to Pudong. The hostel was surprisingly in a brilliant location, close to the bund, famous nanjing rd with all its western comforts eg subway mcdonalds Starbucks but also lots of great street food nearby. The hostel has great facilities with everything you need. The rooms were spacious very neat, clean and comfortable. Close to Nanjing Road, near the subway entrance. There is a billar pool and wifi, and the room and the bathroom inside was clean enough. The personnel was very friendly (the lost our reservation but they set a room ready for us in 15 minutes). the hostel was clean, the dormitory room had its own bathroom and shower so you share them only with other 5 ppl. The hostel is international, has a nice common room and a pool table. The location is great, and the room is pretty much loaded with everything you needed as a backpacker. Great price! AND heaps of street food nearby at night, me loving it =). We made the reservation the same day and they set everything. They even gave us a higher quality room at the same price. They didn't clean the room while I was there, just empty the trash bag. There is no TV even though in the website says there is. The elevator only works from 8 to 23. The card they give you to access the room doesn't work very well, I had to go down all the way from the 4th floor to ask them to give me another one in three different occasions. But I still recommend this place, the location is good and the private rooms are very comfortable. The only downside is the staff who were rude upon arrival and with every interact whether it be a question or booking or check out, it was always an arrogant response with no sense of respect or willingness to help. The breakfast was served really slowly. I know it is an hostel, I do not pretend anything special but just some basic things from staff and room. The air conditioning system in front of the bed, really unhealthy. Room facing main road - high traffic noise. lift a wee bit small. The staff is very rude and not helpful at all; wifi only available at public space and the lift could only be used until 11pm and get to 4th floor, we stay at 5th floor, so, have to walk up & down all the times. room not cleaning every day,. Staffs not to nice, no room cleaning. 6 people man and women. Reception was rather cold, though neither better nor worse than what one can expect of service standards in Beijing/Shanghai in general. There was no friendly reminder anywhere to guests to be back before, say, 12am, so that they wouldn't wake others up. I got a room in the 5th floor, but the lift only can get until 4th. Internet connection is often having problems. Sometimes the staff don't want to work. you need to take stairs during night time and early morning, I stayed in 5th floor and it was terrible. The woman in reception is the worst hostel reception person I have ever met. Very rude. wifi only available in public space. Staff not friendly and not helpful. WiFi doesn't work on 3rd floor. Dirty, uncosy hostel. Bad smell in room and bathroom. Not very clean. No facilities other than electric kettle. Staff not very helpful. AIR CONDITIONER was NOT working properly. Over all impression was poor. staff can not advise travel guide not well, Don't have metromap provide traveller, Not clean place, Old lift and don't. Four Employees were always ocupyed the public room and TV on the second floor to disturb us. So far so good. The place was very dirty. Very bad smell from the bathroom. Beware, the photos of the double room that you see on letsbookhotel.com are not of the double room but of the luxury room. The staff simply sucks, not kind at all and no english. As I said, the place is good ONLY for the location.
