  The staff were incredibly polite and the service was impeccable. They were also very helpful in providing us with "local knowledge" of where to go have fun, have good food etc etc. The room itself was huge.   We stayed in Beijing at Xiao Yuan Alley Courtyard Hotel for 3 nights. It is lovely small hotel in Chinese style. It is very friendly, pleasant, comfortable and cute! It is situated in an old Beijing district Hutong, which is probably the only bastion of traditional Chinese climate left. The taxi from the airport to the hotel cost us 70 yuans (according to a taximet - Featuring charming, ultra-helpful English-speaking staff; the Xiao Yuan Alley hotel provides comfortable beds and good facilities, with a superbly located downtown hutong (Beijing alley) location, sensibly priced organized tours (if you wish) and excellent and very reasonably priced food available inside and nearby outside the hotel. And it's a very affordable place. I very much want to stay at this hotel again. I get happy just thinking about it. Highly recommend.

  The staff were incredible, they were great fun and really made us feel at home. The manager was very helpful and made it easy for us to plan our trips and get around with all of his advice. The great wall tour that they provided was excellent away from the touristy locations it was a great experience. The location was good just a 10minute walk from tian'anmen squa - The location is perfect, just 10 min walk away from Qianmen and Tiananmen Square, you can also find subway and bus quite easily around there. The cafe bar is really nice, good place to meet friends. Beds are pretty comfortable, I stayed in a 14 bed dorm, quite a big room, not crowded at all. The A/C works well, hot water 24 hrs, and oh! the bar opens 24 hrs as well, which is a bonus! The price is quite reasonable in Beijing, esp at central area. 4 Stars Recommend

  Nice room, powerfull air conditioning. very big t.v., very comfortable bed. The staff was very helpful and was very willing to help us wih every need. - Warm welcome from staff very friendly but they had problem to allocate the room and the first nite was not psent in the hotel due to poor booking control of other guests extended stay.
