The owner of Apricot Courtyard Inn Alex is very nice and friendly. We had some troubles finding the place and phoned up the number, he was very patient and even came out to pick us up! The place is very clean and very artistic! We love the open space in the courtyard and we can smoke there. The service is excellent! Also the location is perfect, so convenient and close to the town centre. It's a walkable distance after shopping and dinner in town. I had a great time there with my friends! I high.
kaikki arvostelut » The Apricot Courtyard Inn was the most welcoming and nicest place we've been to in Beijing. During our one week stay Alex, the host, was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel like home. The place was extraordinarily clean and very cosy. Alex speaks fluently English and gave us many tips to find our way around the traditional hutongs. With his help we were able to discover interesting spots and great local bars and restaurants off the beaten track. We will absolutely come back!. The location is very good and Alex, the young guy in charge of the place very friendly as well. You can have good chats with him, especially about music as he's a big fan. Location is simple but provide what's necessary around a nice little huttong style courtyard with 5 rooms or so. No breakfast, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants around for that. The owner is very friendly and nice. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, artistic and cozy. Also the location is perfect, very close to town. It's a walkable distance back to the hotel from the town centre. I had such a great time there with my friends! I highly recommend this hotel to any traveller who want to experience authentic Beijing cultures!. Everything, the location (once you get used to it) is conveniently located nearby various amenities, shops, restaurants. It is actually nearby the "art" district in Beijing where tons of "artsy" people hang out. It's very lively at night but not crazy packed such that you can't breathe. Alex the manager was incredibly friendly and helpful - nothing was too difficult. Because the hostel is small with only a few rooms, our children could make themselves at home in the courtyard. It's got a great vibe as a place to hang out and is also close to great restaurants. The owner of the Apricot Courtyard completely made our trip. There is such a good vibe in the hutong. It is in a great location which allows you to experience true China living. Alex was very helpful and friendly. The courtyard had a nice feel and it was relaxing sitting out listening to music. I like the design of the courtyard both western and Chinese style. The basement bar was great. staff very friendly and helpful. Location is brilliant, close to the water front restaurants and bars, a little hike to the closest metro. If people are looking for a usual hotel, with bars and restaurant/breakfast, etc. this is maybe not the right place for them. But if you're looking for a convenient / friend feeling place from where to go around, then this is a good place. The location was a bit tough to find at first since it's literally located at the end of a dead-end alleyway tucked in the center of snake-like hutongs. It would be nice if all the rooms were decorated in the traditional Chinese style that the courtyard itself is - our room had a nautical theme. Beds were a bit hard. tiny room (dormitory of 2 beds). The dormitory bedroom is a cupboard with a double bunk bed. Still value for money but be prepared not to change in the room or to be able to store your bags if sharing with somebody else. The toilet has very awful odor in the en suite room I booked, and the smell gets everywhere in the room even with the toilet door shut. It was an unpleasant experience to sleep in the smelly room for many days. I will definitely not recommend this hostel.
