  Best hotel! The staff is superb, the rooms are so comfortable, the location is perfect, the food is great, and the whole experience was amazing. My boyfriend and I got stranded in the snow a couple of miles from Quebec City. When we called the hotel, the concierge sent someone out to help us. He was so kind and patient.   The bathroom has an excellent spa shower with 6 spray heads. The water pressure and temperature was very good. Also the bathroom was very clean. The comfortable bed gave us 2 good nights sleep. The hotel is very historical so there was no elevator. The restaurants breakfast and service was delicious. Would not - Location, location, location.... In the heart of Quebec. We stayed in the recently remodeled room 36 on the 3rd floor. Small, but cozy and quiet. Steps were no problem. A/C is quiet. We took their package deal for one day only. It included 2 breakfasts and dinners with a bottle of wine @ Restaurant 1640 downstairs and 1 day paid parking. What a great deal! Food is delicious and service is outstanding. Information center is next door. We definitely will stay there on our next trip.

  The history and architecture of the building was amazing. The building was a lovely mix of historic features and modern amenities. The location is unbeatable. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. The included breakfast offered variety and was delicious. The restaurant staff were efficient and friendly. I have never stayed in such a luxurious suite. I didn't want to get out of the bed in the morning. Merci bien!

  I was expecting a two star hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe in relation to its luxury neighbouring hotel it is a 2 star but in my experience this hotel would be at least a 3 star. It's over 180 years old but you would never know it based on how immaculately clean it is. Last, the staff were wonderful and the service was amazing; it is so refre - My flight was delayed and I arrived very late and the hotel staff was kind enough to stay up and wait for me to arrive, then carried my 38 lb bag up three flights of stairs to my room. The following day after I checked out the staff allowed me to leave my bags at the hotel while I shopped and had lunch, then called a cab to take me to the cruise port. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful and I enjoyed my stay and hope to return for another stay in the future.
