The room was small but very comfortable. The colors in the room were muted, relaxing shades. Front desk person was very helpful, friendly. Had problems with the tv and the other front desk person came right to our room to assist us. (It was a very simple fix.) We were on the backside of the hotel so it was quiet. Room had recently been upgraded. They were very helpful, with regards to the area, and pointing us to what we needed. The office area was very clean at all times, and the breakfast supplies were readily available and fresh. We were given one of the freshly renovated rooms, which was very nice. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
kaikki arvostelut » The desk staff were very helpful and accomodating as well as polite. Nathan responded to all of my requests in a friendly and professional manner. Queen bed room was very spacious. Rooms were nicely renovated. Loved the fact that there were was an extra sink outside of the bathroom. The room was really big and well equipped .. two double beds, bathroom, separate area with a second wash basin, huge amount of storage and hanging space. Also, microwave and fridge. Everything we needed. Breakfast was great too. It was amazing value for the facilities. Room was surprisingly nice for a motel, and well equipped. Neighborhood is not as bad as some people here describe. and it's only a 20 minute walk to an area with all the bars and restaurants. Internet worked great. It's a decent place for a short stay. It was quiet. The room was inviting with a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave and television. It was nice to have a continental breakfast to start the day, cereal, toast, waffles, bagels, fruit, fruit juice, coffee, hot chocolate and tea. It was full. I liked the price, I also like that it was clean and I liked that it was right in the city. I also liked the staff the young man on the front desk was very nice. Also the maintenance man was very nice. I liked the space of the room. The bathroom was great (shower) was nice it was divided. Bed was comfy. The coffee pot being in the room very handy but need to get more coffee the first day. Though the room was small it was very clean and functional. As a solo traveller I appreciated being put in a newly renovated room that had no neighbors so that I was not disturbed by others. At first I thought oh god this might be a dive from the outside but once inside it was lovely!. The hotel is conveniently located and the room was fine. Nothing too fancy but enough for a one night stop and it was budget friendly. the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean, looked new. Had free parking and was only a $7.00 cab ride to downtown. We enjoyed the microwave, fridge and comfort of the bed. It rained every day of you week away. We enjoyed the breakfast. It was farther from downtown than we wished to be but we took our car and found parking on the street. The parking lot was a little small for the hotel, other than that, it was all good. I didn't have a desk or table to work on my computer or eat. I didn't like the quality of the toilet paper. Nothing really. The stain right inside the door. Needed to unplug one lamp for my computer use. Would have liked more like living room chairs and a small table. Though there was lots of food at the continental breakfast, I found there were too many carbs and not enough protein. There was peanut butter, but an egg or some cheese would have been appreciated. However, as I said there was lots of food. No dislikes. My husband & I had only one problem & we didn't tell anyone about it. We couldn't find the temp. Control for the heat. We couldn't turn it down at night. We roasted at night. the parking spaces small, the bed a bit to soft.air conditioner and heater was a little noisey. Wi-fi was not working the entire time we were there and that was a feature I needed for work issues while I was on the road. The bed was a bit soft for my liking, didn't prevent me from getting a good nights rest however. Only 2 large towels vs 4; 4 guests staying & booked a week in advance therefore the Inn knew. Slight mildew or stale order in the room. Swimming pool was a little bit of a disappointment. Also, the pictures on the booking site do not fully reveal how the building/ rooms look on the outside, though this did not really affect the quality of our stay as such. I hate that there is never enough tea and coffee supplies inside the room!. Room was clean except a nice family of spiders chilling on the ceiling just over the TV... The only thing that I didn't like was the room was on the second floor as some of the first floor rooms were being renovated.We were on the first floor before. I have osteo-arthritis. We were disappointed that the pool was not ready for swimming.We chose this place due to the fact that there was a pool. outside looks a bit run down and the pool area too - but it was clean and really excellent value. The area is just a little sketchy. Pretty sure there is a tweaker pad just down the street a bit but this is of course no fault of the hotel's. Refrained from walking back too late at night. It was comforting to see plenty of Queens students prowling about that far up Princess St. even around 10pm or so. (of course, it was a weekend so that is certainly a factor). It would be nice to have more fruits at breakfast. Washbasin is not in the bathroom which only has a WC and bath/shower. The washbasin is in a recess in the room so does not offer any privacy. OK if travelling on your own. Internet connection was very slow. Breakfast only OK, juice not working and we had to leave before it was ready. Hotel was hard to find, first part of Princess Ave is one way. Makes it difficult for outsiders to get to hotel. Sign is rather small. TV remote batteries low, one lightbulb out. We wanted a bigger room with two beds, but was not available. The room was very comfortable and spacious but the carpet was extremely dirty. The entrance to the hotel was depressing as you arrive ! The colour was dark! Location of the hotel bit scary at night when we walked back by foot from the waterfront. The dining room and reception in one big room. far from the cruise. nothing. Location. Mouthing. Had to wait for room in the sitting area to have breakfast. Internet connection. the wifi was hard to keep, had to reconnect many times. towels had yellow stains on them. The front desk clerk was a bit of a twit. There were no restaurants anywhere near the hotel. we have stayed at this location before and we were aware that the outside appearance was poor but "inside" was fine. We could not try the breakfast because we had to leave before 5.00 am.
