If I lived in Gananoque, I would want to become personal friends with Lisa and Mike (the hosts); they are genuine unpretentious people with a great sense of humour, and excellent and intelligent conversationalists with a wide view of the world. There was nothing they would not do to ensure my comfort. The house itself could get a "Good Housekeeping" award for decor, design and cleanliness. There is no surprise why they have achieved such an incredible approval rating. I was in the "King Room" .
kaikki arvostelut » The whole experience was terrific. This is a lovely B&B with extremely comfortable accommodations, fabulous breakfasts, and warm, welcoming, and very informative hosts. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the Islandview Inn to anyone interested in visiting the beautiful 1000 Islands region on the St. Lawrence River. Everything was perfect from A to Z. Lisa and Mike are wonderful hosts, as you can feel that they are always ready to go the extra mile and do their best to ensure that you have the best possible stay! The house is lovely, well-located and the rooms are very cosy. Their homemade breakfast was excellent as well! Hats off to them!. Our 3rd floor suite was BEAUTIFUL! Cosy, romantic, private, with all the luxuries needed. Breakfast was delicious; company was refreshing. Host Mike was very accommodating and friendly. Warm welcome from the hosts and the breakfast was super good. Great breakfast, congenial host, very comfortable room. John and Lisa aim to please. Has nothing to do with not liking someting. This place is way too good for that. Two of the three bedrooms share a large bathroom and that may be troublesome for some. And a suggestion ... a breakfast of this very high standard should have a real juice, not orange drink. Can't think of anything negative. Having to leave!. sharing the bathroom with another room. The room was quite small. To hear that they are closing.
