Everything! It was our first visit to Cambodia and Mr Rina, the manager, did everything he could to help us - organised a river trip, a tuk-tuk tour of the town, and a (very good) driver to take us on to Battambang. Our room was spacious, attractive and comfortable and breakfast was excellent (wide selection of fruit, crispy bacon etc). There was lots of space to sit around by the pool and enjoy the surroundings. There are some excellent and very cheap restaurants nearbye - check Rough Guide. W.
kaikki arvostelut » This place is just amazing considering what you pay. Very luxurious, the rooms are big, modern and beautifully decorated. The pool area is the most amazing oasis of tranquility, palm trees line the whole place and they have big double sun loungers for you to relax on, plus it stays open until 10pm! The food was excellent, in fact we didn't go out in the 2 evenings we were there (partly due to being exhausted!) so we sat in the lovely open restaurant and endulged ourselves in the great menu and . The staff was very friendly and helpful. Airport pick-up was arranged, but I missed it out because I didn't know it. The room was nice and clean, though the shower needed some time to get warm. The location is also a plus, not directly in the heart of the riverside quarter, but tucked away close to the independence momnument (and therefore quiet) with a number of bars and restaurants close by. Villa Langka feels like an oasis of peace and greenery when stepping in from from Phnom Penh's searing heat. The service is smiling and pleasant yet not overwhelming. The rooms, comfortable in a simple way. The hotel is relatively short (5-10 minutes) walking distance from major tourist attractions. I enjoyed the ambience of Villa Lanka. I was lucky after being shown a third room and I had a balcony with a view of the swimming pool. Rooms are very small but for the solo traveller this is not a concern especially when there is a balcony to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. Decor. Nice touches I.e beautiful flowers in restaurant area,small sweet smelling flower's at night. Very good breakfast with an excellent variety of foods. Very good gift shop with high quality gear at reasonable prices. Considerate security guards. Nice big beds. Every time when I am travelling to Phnom Penh , I always stay in this hotel. Location is excellent - few minutes by walk from Independent monument, and from many famous places and restaurants of PP. Nice swimmimg pool, very friendly staff. Quiet, calm, a peaceful haven in a noisy city.Staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful at all times.Rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Pool and surrounds attractive and restaurant food good. Good ambience and very nice feel to the place. Pool area is nice, very relaxing and well maintained. Staff overall were very helpful and courteous. large bath in room, beautiful room and pool, restaurant very good, lovely staff, close to everything or cheap tuk tuk to wherever you want to go. The Villa Langka Hotel is well located in central Phnom Penh. It has good facilities, is clean and efficient. Bed was really comfortable. Balcony, Nice high ceiling with Air Con and Fan. Relaxing decor, very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful pool. Staff were polite and friendly. General ambience of property. The breakfast was great. Nice quiet hotel .Good breakfast and good location for sight seeing. Laundry service was crazily expensive, over $1 per item so we ended up going down the road and paid $4 for 4kilos o laundry! The staff were nice enough on arrival, but the only map the had available was a pretty rubbish photocopy. It would have been nice for someone to sit down with us and explain the area/things to do etc. Not really worthwhile mentoning....maybe they can add some saussages to the breakfast buffet, coffee was really good though. There are occasional mosquitoes in the open areas; guess it's very hard to control them with all the greenery and water though. The coffee. The dark impersonal bedroom that we were given. Did not like the liquid soap provided,very harsh on the skin,more like dish washing liquid,had to buy some good soap for our stay. They also said breakfast was from 6.am but it wasn't until 6.30. Our room overlooked another restaurant so had a lot of noise each evening. For couples - there is no door between toilet and room itself :). Compared to other hotels which we have used in Cambodia the Villa Langka is efficient rather than friendly. Room was tiny, No bath, Had to ask to get a balcony, Ghekko's still found their way into the room. Further from top sites than I expected. Dinner food was so so. Need more single rooms.
