First of all, the owner. She's by far the friendliest host I've had in a Hotel: she works hard to make you feel comfortable and relaxed and she helps you to enjoy your stay at Veliko Tarnovo. Thanks Boyka! Snacks are also available all day freshly cooked by Boyka herself, so enjoying a Chopska salad and a beer at the end of the day while enjoying the view is always a good option. Everything is decorated with good taste and the rooms, bathroooms are big, clean. Don't mind what other say about the road, it's just a normal road, and if you consider yourself a good driver there is no problem with the access and the car is perfectly safe. Once you locate the Halite parking-it's easy to find the street which starts just behind the cabin of the curator of the parking (the left of. This Guest House is located on a top of a hill, a few minutes walking from the town centre. It is a little bit hard to get there by car, but the owners are so kind and helpful that they even can guide guests directly to the house and show where to park a car. There is a wonderful view on the castle ruins and hills around, swimming pool, snack bar. Rooms are newly decorated, clean with AC, bathroom and wi-fi access. VT is beautiful and a fantastic place for a classy city break that will not break the bank. We have been coming for several years and stayed at this Hotel almost by accident. It has the best views of VT Abarnassi and the Castle I have seen. The place is spotless, the garden and pool area are a credit to the owners. I would put the hotel in the Boutique category. The location is ideal: close to the Old Centre (7 minutes walk through narrow streets with old houses) with an amazing view of all of Veliko Tarnovo. Once you navigate (and is easy... Just follow the signs!) you find yourself at a home away from home. The hosts are so friendly! You look out at Tsaravets and have the "sound" from the sound and light show played to you from the terrace. Home cooking! This is where you get it and so cheap! Delicious!. The view! It's on the top of the hill, you can see the entire valley. The castle, the show-lights, it's beautiful. The road it's a nice challenge but I loved that also. Room is large and very nice. The bathroom is small but very clean. All is new and with style. I will return to use the pool. The family is amazingly nice. We felt there as, it was our home. The food is marvelous and cheap. The Hotel is high above the old town, I made the mistake of doing a direct ascent the hill from the town centre complete with pack back in 38C. I soon found out I am not Bear Grylis. So to get there ascend gradually or take a taxi or your car. Having said that the views are tremendous, so as normal in life its "no pain no gain". I could not find the place with TOM TOM I got scared about road I saw in the city center. I decided to live car in a square and take on my hand TOM TOM to reach destination on foot. When I arrived at Harmony with a very nice gesture owner took me with his car to take luggages and I left car in the square for all vacation in Veliko. No problem the city is very safe! When I left Harmony the owner took me again to my car with luggages helping me a lot. I appreciate very much this gesture!. Absolutely nothing!. They were renovating the pool so I did not have the chance to take a swim or lay in the sun. It was out of the warm season anyway. They could not provide us with any turist maps or info. Accecibility is very poor. The house is at the very end of the very narrow street, high above old town. Twice taxi drivers refuse to drive us to hotel, and they never could make up to the top. The hotel is not suitable for anyone not fully mobile or physically handicapped. It is located on a very steep hillside which requires guests to be reasonably fit to use the access footpaths. Car access is available but is by very narrow lanes and not for the faint hearted. Parking at the hotel is very limited and not guaranteed. Only one parking space. Hard to find But the owner came and rescued us so all good Perhaps more info on travelling to the top of the hill could be added to the website because it is so worth the effort to find it Lovely hotel Try it x. It´s a ten minutes walk uphill from the center. Call the owner and her driver will take you to the door for only 1 euro. On the other hand, taking a taxi is 2,5 euros and you even have to walk 5 minutes uphill. Get a taxi to find the place if you have luggage. Better yet, call them and they will pick you up for a very fair price. The road to the BB vas really bad. Some parts (pool area, top terrace) are still in construction as of June 16 '13. Access to the hotel is a bit difficult but is rewarded by a fabulous view on Tsarevets. As others have pointed out, the location is far up a hill where taxis won't go. Because of this you are somewhat dependant on the hosts which didn't work out so well in my case. Additionally english was not well spoken by the male host(who answers the phone and organises transport) which compounded the situation.
