Having a kitchenette was a blessing. The staff spoke English very well, and were helpful and approachable about taxi and restaurant bookings. There is laptop set up in the hotel lobby for the use of guests, free. Nice courtyard restaurant with a water feature, and menu in English as well as Bulgarian.

  We stayed at the Kaliakra Apartment. Vip advise 3 days before you arrive which apartment you will be staying in. They arranged a transfer from the airport for 18 Euros. The apartment was modern, very comfortable and very close to a 24hour supermarket and the European Union Metro Station.   We rented the apartment on our second visit to Sofia as the place we were using before was booked. We were very happy with the property. The apartment is very well furnished and extremely clean, it has a lot of space and natural light. Apparently Sofia is not that big so we never had to use subway or even taxi - all the points of interest were within a wal - Sofia came on our radar last minute as a mid stop on our road trip to Greece so we didn't have a lot of time to plan.
