The Lagoon Rio is a small pousada located on the island of Gigoia, in Barra da Tijouca. The island is accessible only by boat (no bridge) but is very easy to reach, as there is a very efficient boat service and cheap, 24/24. (You never wait). The island is very nice, with a lot of small streets without cars, some small restaurants. It looks very safe. The team is very friendly. They took me to a walk on the island. My room was great, and so was the whole house, with a small swimming pool on a l.

Gigóia island is accessed by boat and small ferry boats. It is hidden amidst the large buildings in the Barra da Tijuca area. The island offers a quiet place that can be explored in a 20-minute walk through alleys and back streets. There are no regular streets or cars on the island.
